I don't think the messaging will affect the box office in the slightest. First, it follows the broadway show so closely; and second, you can read into the messaging however you want with your own personal life experiences and opinions such that nobody will feel offended because everyone will see themselves as the good guys in the story

I don’t know about this one Grace, I think this movie comes off great....like all your complaints sound more like personal nitpicks. I don't disagree with some of your ideas on how some of the character motivations and actions could have took place and for sure made everything better....but for you to even say "don't even bother seeing this movie in theaters" in your non-spoiler review kind of hurts because I think this movie still does pretty well to at least warrant that.

I thought Johnathan Bailey did a great job. I also think the dance choreography was really good. I think the directing was a little lifeless. Most of the shots relied on the actor's chemistry. It felt very college senior project with a huge budget. Grande crushed it for sure. However, if you saw the stage play, its really hard to upstage Idena Manzel for singing. I like all of Cythina's parts other than her singing because I kept comparing her to Idena.

I’ve only seen one film that Cynthia was in before so I’m still new on her but she blew me away in Wicked. I loved her more than I thought I would. She can saaaaaang. I’m so proud of Ariana, the fact she manifested this role 🥹 from being a kid watching her as Cat Valentine and now seeing her on the big screen as Glinda is so… wow. Loved it!!!!!! I’m definitely going to see it a 2nd and maybe 3rd time before it leaves theaters. Definitely up there for movie of the year for me.

You're still the only person on the planet I've seen making this claim that Harley Quinn was r*ped in TSS, that might be your interpretations but that is not at all what happened, at least admit you've made a lot of strange interpretations in movies, like just recently believing there was some sort of romantic subplot between the two leads of Alien Romulus, when it was definitely not the case.

Give Ariana an Oscar, people laughed at every joke of hers in my screening. Stuck every moment. Incredible.

This movie made no sense. The action and set pieces were great. But at times the CGI looked horrible (like what was up with the dogs?), and for some reason every main character had to die? Like Denzels character was just randomly killing literal emperors and got away with it? Everybode gave random speeches that made no sense? And Lucilla just assumed someone was her kid when he quoted some poetry, which everyone is the whole of fucking Rome could have known about? Enjoyable movie but so so forgettable 🙂

Bailey was a great Fiyero and *much* better than most guys I've seen perform the role... BUT I do personally think he didn't personify his role to the incredible extent that Erivo and Grande did. So next to them, in a way, i can see what Grace is getting at.
