@@Sam_Gunn Same thoughts. Practically guaranteed given the big name attached to the character and a "big twist" involved in the plot. Rat King being a new character just feels like set up for this kind of reveal. A city enveloped in darkness and chaos with Scarecrow being present just feels like the perfect opportunity for him to try and run experiments under that persona to see how a city driven mad into chaos spreads a sense of fear throughout the city. The Rat King moniker could be an allusion to being the top cheese overseeing fleeing fearful citizens that are metaphorically representing rats jumping ship from a sinking city.

I'm iffy about Dick starting as a criminal as I feel he usually needs guidance with his anger & how to deal with his trauma. He’s quick, agile, has lines of dialogue with him, uses batons exactly like Nightwing does, and he has dark hair. God damn, I love the idea of making a game out of Batman going undercover at Blackgate. Really can’t wait to see how the rest of this plays out. It’s a small thing, but I like how they adjusted Boles’ backstory to make him a guard at Blackgate before Arkham reopened. The Asylum character bios said he was an Arkham security guard for 8 years, but Origins is set only 7.5 years before Asylum and it’s still months after that game before they actually get Arkham up and running. This is a neat little retcon to help smooth that over; just assume his first year or so was spent at Blackgate. Also love (what I assume is) the Year One reference with the “skiing injuries” excuse.

Knight is set 9 months after the cremation of Joker (stated in-game), placing City in late December of year eleven or early January of year twelve. City is set 18 months after Asylum (stated multiple times in game), thus setting Asylum in the summer of year ten. The difference between Christmas Eve of year two and summer of year ten would be seven and a half years.

Which is good because I don't have the opportunity to play this game so it makes just watching the playthroughs more engaging. Actually ratchaer and ratking are two different people in this universe. I believe the director of the game said he got inspired by an Arkham origins prequel comic where Batman faced ratchcacher and wanted to keep it canon and the rat king got inspired by him. Even Batman here sees ratcatcher's gloves here and wonders why he left them there. My guess we'll see more of ratking obsessions with rat catcher later but that's just my theory on what we know

Same. I've been waiting for him reprise the role in a big project, particularly an Arkham Origins sequel, for years - he's more than still got it. I loved the trademark anger of his portrayal returning near the end here but also him playing different sides of his anger like the fear for Leslie & Harvey & the older brother/uncle dynamic with Babs.

Also love how the game acknowledges that since this is earlier in Bruce’s career, the pain of losing his parents is a lot more fresh in his mind, with Alfred having to make sure he’s alright when visiting the monarch theatre at 1:20:02 Reminds me of that Year One panel where Bruce had an inner monologue about how the ache was still fresh, even after 12 or so years.

@@jlev1028 Could be talking about either Donald Clough Cameron or Cameron Stewart, the ladder being more likely since the Easter egg is located in the same apartment where you meet Barbra, with Cameron Stewart having wrote issues of Batgirl comics in the past. As for carver, I’m not sure who that’s referring to, but It could be referencing Alton Carver aka Talon. Don’t take my word for it tho, cause I’m not good with names.
