Great video my dear friend, some tips I learned restoring walkmans. 1.I tried to use vinegar, bicarbonate, catch-up, ultrasound machine but the best method is by mechanical action. Just scraping with some metal tool. I use a steel brush in a dremell. Also an exploratory probe used by dentists helps a lot .

Instead of vinegar, you can use lemon juice as well. I cleaned away corrosion on the exact same MD player as the one in this video this way.

These were very beautiful devices of their time, fakes of them could not be made at that time, today a cheap model of any original device can be produced.

Awesome thank you sir, I have NET MD WALKMAN MZ-NF810, It makes a constant noise while charging and does not start charging. I thought the bubble gum battery was dead. I have to try this now.

when the leak is large and intense, we have no alternative and it is necessary to disassemble the entire mechanism of the hinge. The central pin should be cleaned and the pieces should be treated with a nickel bath. These metal parts are originally brass and covered by nickel. Thus, they never undergo oxidation. As the leak erodes the part and our sanding action also end up removing all this protective covering. The part when cleaned again conducts electricity but in a few weeks will present oxidation and poor contact. If you want to leave the piece in perfect recovery you need to learn how to do this treatment.

Build a nickel station, it is not difficult and after ready do tests pieces of metal until mastering the technique. The clean and polished the piece before the treatment, the better the result.

Hi ,well explained video. Do you know how i can check a gumstick battery with a multimeter? Thanks in advance .
@CBitsTech5 ай бұрын
Thanks. Check them as you would for a AA rechargeable. Essentially, voltage and voltage under load is all you can check with a multimeter. I suppose internal resistance, but there's no benchmark for that. This video might help kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZfSgoOmbZKBqMUsi=RxgQtyl4JQhFFVrZ

Thanks. Watched your other video about the disc not playing. I moved the lens with a toothpick and it's now working. 👍

@@philmccall6892 Great! Did you move the lens itself, or the whole laser/lens assembly?
@philmccall68925 ай бұрын
Moved the whole assembly.

I get it. Might need lubrication, especially if it has trouble reading discs near the end.

Now when I check the battery cover of my device. There is a plastic piece on mine above the broken piece in yours, interesting. but mine is clean.
