Battery drill meet Lithium! This is a simple project that i made to recover an old battery drill. it way to the trash was sure but i get in time to recover it from being destroyed. With some research and work i managed to restore the old battery using some more energetic lithium cells.

Very weird and creepy video with the whole abduction/torture thing - but the battery replacement was good. It's always best to re-use old tools that function perfectly fine except for dead batteries.

Hi. I have one drill bit bosch 7,2v. When connect 2 li-ion in series and turn on the drill batteries cheap getting a little bit warm after 2 or 3 minutes use. Should I place another two batteries in parallel or it's normal to warm up? cheers

li ion cells will warm up quickly due to thei high internal resistance so yes, put some more cells in parallel, as much as you can

2.8 volts is to low you will damage your battery set it to 3.3 at least

Somebody help me please... I have convert my 9,6V cordless battery into 12V lithium. At first it works great until it had to recharge. Using the original charging that came in set with the drill driver, i leave it for a night... In the morning i chek it out. The cell and the charging device was so hot, but not hot enough to become fire. After that the battery was dead, totally dead. I've tear it up into piece and measure its voltage for each cells. Some cell have had 0V or dead. Is there any clue for me? Wheres my mistake? According the charging device was use for NiCd cell before/origin... Whats the difference between NiCd cell vs Lithium cell in case they use charging method? Why may new cell can be killed? Is it over voltage in charging or else? Sorry for my bad english before. Thanks for anyone to respond my questions...
