Thank you. My battery replacement was pretty successful. Without your video I would not even have attempted such an operation.

Thanks man. It was a bit more difficult for me because the battery did not want to come out. I had to mess with making a hole on the bottom side of the battery plastic holder and hammering with a rod through the hole to get it out. Also my screws in the top part were so tight in the plastic tubes that (except for 1) all tubes cracked. Well - no problem because this one is standing still on the kitchen counter most of the times anyway. In the end, everything back together and working fine. Feels good to not have to throw it away.

Perfection video! Well done! Mine, from august of 2018 just gave up it's battery. Speakers started popping a bit, coincidental with battery going, but gonna start with battery and see what happens. They are pretty cheap and this looks worth the effort!

Would you happen to know how to factory reset the link 20
@bigd8352 ай бұрын
hold the mute button for more than 14 seconds. your device most likely wont reset if the battery is almost dead, even if plugged in. you can go in to the app on your phone, click on that device, tell it to forget the wifi connection, then click on remove device. then start over and have your app find the device. i had a link 10 with a dead battery - even when plugged in it wouldnt properly connect , be reconized, and function until the batter had at least 2 dots of charge. nearly dead battery will prevent you from getting the link to work correctly, even if plugged into power cord.

hi, i bought JBL link 360 pro its a display/demo pc from EU or USA n i live in UAE. the battery is not holding any charge, so i guess i cannot connect to the google home app while in the charging port. can u pls advise while it is in charging Bluetooth should work/connect? i tried pressing Bluetooth button, but nothing.
@MegaSafetyFirst3 жыл бұрын
Since it is a demo/display model, it is not possible to connect the speaker via Bluetooth. The software on those units is different from the regular speakers

It is totally unfair and wasteful that companies make the replacement of these batteries as difficult as possible, in some cases even impossible. Not sustainable and moral at all.

Hello! Could you help me with my JBL Link20? I just simply want to use it with bluetooth, I don't care about wifi and google chromecast. Just want to use it like a ordinary bluetooth speaker everywhere and with any cellphone. What can I do?
@penangtv61083 жыл бұрын
Simply press the bluetooth button at the top, then go to yr phone menu to connect.

how much for the new battery pls? mabe its not worth it, to fiddle and better buy a new speaker? My Fisher speaker, since it was new, cant work for longer then 25 min or less. after full charge. I wonder, mabe its best to buy a better one.
@MegaSafetyFirst3 жыл бұрын
That always depends on the quality of speaker you have. When the speaker was relatively cheap in the first place then it probably isn’t worth replacing the battery. For higher end speaker it usually is worth replacing the battery. The batteries usually cost between $10-30, depending on capacity.

@@MegaSafetyFirst Thank you so much! I dont remember how much I paid, probably less then 20-30$, so then, I guess, I be better off buying the better one. How do I find out- how long it can work before recharging, pls? I like it to work at least n hour... Any suggestion on the partric one to get? I think they never place such info on the box... Not even in manuals... I like to use mine in a shower, room so it has to be ok with steam. Thank you in advance!
@MegaSafetyFirst3 жыл бұрын
Most speakers usually last 4-5 hours now. But it really depends on how much you are planning on spending. I like JBLs Bluetooth speakers, but they are always pricey. I would look at what lack Friday deals are available. And you want something that is IPX7 waterproof. Those types of speakers will handle being in a bathroom/shower.
@SantisandKisin3 жыл бұрын
@@MegaSafetyFirst Thank you, what would be a price tag, pls? I also want a good quality sound, to enjoy the music :-)

I’d consider the JBL Charge3. It is an older model, but that makes it a lot cheaper (~$100) at the JBL website. And it comes with a lot of features: 20 hour playtime, you can charge your phone with it, works as speakerphone and of course waterproof.

by any chance do you or anybody on here know how to take off the power cable to access the charging port? the ribbon right next to its very simple but the white one that's the actual power I cannot figure out how to take it off and it's driving me absolutely bananas! please please please somebody help me please.
@gmck18012 жыл бұрын
It doesn't come off. It is a soldered joint. Disconnect the other end, remove the sealant and pull it through the hole. The charging port PCB comes with a new cable.
