As someone who used the S22 Ultra as my daily driver for a year and now have owned the S23 Ultra since it was released I'll say it makes no sense to use Light Mode vs Performance. The improved battery life is so dramatic with the new S23 Ultra I'm getting an extra half day on Performance settings. Use it to it's full potential and thank me later
@josephnevin Жыл бұрын
Yes I'll be saving lite mode for when my s23 ultra starts to show battery life issues a year or two from now.
@Yielar1 Жыл бұрын
@@josephnevin I've been buying Samsung flagships since the Note 2 and haven't had a single battery issue or concern. Your comment makes zero sense especially when it comes to using the performance setting vs the light setting which has zero to do with battery longevity. Lol

Sir I need to know what about charging the phone up to 100 percentage is it okay because last week only I have bought samsung S23 ...this is my first flagship device that's why I'm asking
@_hector__ Жыл бұрын
@@Yielar1 It does not make a big difference because phones now dont have this dumb mythical issue. You should not however, charge your phone everytime for example from 80% to 100% in my opinion Let it reach a lower battery percentage like 40% and then you can charge it to minimize the amount of charging cycles
@Yielar1 Жыл бұрын
@@_hector__ these modern batteries are quite remarkable. I don't worry much about charging but yeah I usually do get to about 40% at night before I plug in the charger
@thetechexplain3r7 ай бұрын
It's awesome to see advice that doesn't make you choose between saving battery and keeping performance high. Personally, I only do two things, dark mode, and using a Chargie every time I charge to avoid overheating and overcharging even if I leave my phone plugged the whole night. That's it.

That "Restart When Needed" option kinda sucks; I remember when it was previously more fleshed out. You could schedule an automatic reboot at a certain time of day, and if you wanted, you could do it everyday.

I really miss this after moving from my redmi
@andyc935 Жыл бұрын
Not that my s23ultra needs it but I turned on light mode anyway because any decrease in battery usage and heat is good for the life of the battery. I haven't tried doing heavy tasks with it on but for normal light tasks I see no difference in performance and a slight increase in battery life.

Basically, when you're considering to be using dark mode constantly, need to check out if your status bar changes color from white to black and visa versa, bcoz you may have with screen burn in after a while, so I'm preferring to use automatically change white/dark mode, even thought it will consume more juice

No modern OLED display will suffer from screen burn, Samsung makes the best displays in the world (even Apple buys displays from Samsung for their iphone lineup)

@@TheHottabych23 7000 hrs is 291 days, iphone 14 came out 206 days ago.. by your own definition this doesn't make sense.. also any screen burn issue these people experience is most likely a manufacturing defect.. just because a hand full of people experienced an issue, doesn't mean it is an actual problem of the masses
@TheHottabych23 Жыл бұрын
@@scornbro112 apple is not a first day on smartphones market, they control quality pretty well, but it's not only apple, Samsung suffers from it, basically any phone manufacturer who use OLED screens. When Samsung Galaxy s7 came out some people had burn in screens even in 1 week of using. Currently I see 1-1.5 months of using based on different posts on Twitter/Reddit. And the damaged pixels location show the cause, like people who typing a lot has damaged keyboard, who used Waze-app pattern
