I love this product and live in a colder winter climate. I have several motorcycles i store for the winter and come spring, they fire right up and i have been using theses for many years and have never had to replace a battery. I've had a 1.25-amp Batt Tender for 15+ years. It has worked flawlessly. One caution though: if you have an older-technology flooded lead-acid battery, the BT will manage to evaporate the electrolyte over an extended period of time. I found this out the hard way with the battery from my '84 Yanaha Venture during winter storage.

Folks should know that they will dry out your cells if continuously plugged in (No matter how low the amperage, they in fact heat up the cells, this KILLS the battery !). Better to have these battery Tenders first plugged into a TIMER; I set mine for only four hours a day. This allows the battery to cool down & not get to the point of 'boiling'; less chance of drying out the lifeblood of the battery.

I just bought the jr 800 ma. I works great. Charged up my low voltage agm in a few hours. The quick connection is awesome. I have the lead sticking oug above the headlight for easy hook up. Great product!

Current BT products have no safety certifications. My old ones did have a UL listings, but the new ones don't. And like many others, my BT 4.5a charger from Costco broke after the first use. I returned it and went to Noco, it does have all the safety certifications.

I own at least 15 of the Battery Tender Juniors for my Collector Cars and other Lead Acid battery equipment. I have absolutely no complaints. I actually recommend you buy a Battery Tender Junior for your car if the car sits a lot and isn’t driven much. You won’t go wrong.

I just purchased the Deltran Battery Tender Power Plus 75A charger. I placed it on the battery about 5 min ago. It's pretty straight forward, follow the prompts. One issue is the clamps. They're not quite large enough to fit over the terminals without removing them from the battery. However with enough cussing, got them on.

My Battery Tender by Deltran quit working after the first year. When I went back to the store where I bought it, they told me to contact the company. Have you ever attempted that? I gave up and pitched it. Out whatever I paid for it. They should last longer than a year.

My 1 year old battery was connected to this other brand for the past six months and now I need to buy a new battery. The only thing at Deltran worse than their chargers is the so-called customer service! Bought several of their chargers for all the equipment we have and EVERY SINGLE ONE FAILED within 1 year. Of course they're always outside of any warranty. When I spoke with their office they were most unfriendly and apathetic. We now use another brand and have had excellent service and no failed units.

Mike... just curious, I'm thinking of wiring my Battery Tender with the plug & eyelets so I don't have to go under the hood to disconnect. I have a 69 Camaro with a really good aftermarket 1/4-20 thru-chassis ground I mounted to the steel inner fender liner next to the front core support (also grounded) and the ground is linked to the battery terminal with 8AWG wire. On the core support there's a heavy duty dual junction block that is connected to the battery with an 8AWG wire ending with a 12 AWG fusible link. Can I connect the eyelets to the chassis ground and the junction block or do I have to connect the positive directly to the battery? Thanks for the advice.-Mike

I and friends have had great luck with the Plus maintainer. The JR tho has high failure rate after about 1 year from those who bought one like myself. Now this is with continuous use for lawn mowers; rods; boats and motorcycle and the like.

I purchased a Motostance tender with my $10 credit from Motorcycle-Superstore, and within 2 weeks, the tender stopped charging. I called customer support, and the guy told me, there's a known issue with them, and they were pulled from inventory. I asked for my $10 credit back considering you guys knew it was defective and you pulled it from the shelves, but you still sold me one. He told me I would need to send it back which I would need to pay return shipping for, which would make me lose money. I'm waiting a call back from a supervisor, and at the same time, I purchased the Bettery Tender Jr from these guys.

I just purchased a battery tender plus. I do not have a voltmeter, but after 6 hours of charging, the red light stays on, the box is hot, and I am not sure if the battery is actually absorbing and building a charge, because I tested the battery after 6 hours and I am still getting only a rapid clicking sound, telling me the battery is still discharged. What will allow the battery tender to stop supplying electricity if the battery that I am charging is damaged to begin with? I do not want to keep the red light/tender plus in on charging mode due to threat of overheating and fire. Please advise if this unit would detect it was charging a bad battery and shut down sooner or later.

My Battery Tender Junior 800 failed less than two years into the five year warranty (purchased 11/27/2020). Autozone would not refund or exchange so I’m stuck with dealing with the manufacturer. Naturally it just failed on Labor Day holiday weekend so the manufacturer is closed until Tuesday. Emailed customer service so we’ll see. A number of repair videos exist which show the capacitors used by Battery Tender are garbage and you would think the manufacturer would have upgraded the part by now. My recommendation is do not buy and put yourself through the ringer. It was on a lithium ion motorcycle battery.

Since Battery Tender does no desulfation, forget it. Get a BatteryMINDer. Battery Tender ruined 3 batteries because they do no desulfation.

All the chargers that I've tried that offer a "desulfation" process have failed against my battery tender plus. It just charges batteries and isn't too picky about it. It charged my optima when not even an optima brand charger would work on it. As long as it's above 2 amps or so, the battery tender + will charge it.
