It's funny how you are headbanging during the drive and the music you overlay on the video is soft and calming... keep up the good work!

The Twin version is mostly RWD anyway on the highway, so the front engine is just a disconnected additional weight causing the small difference
@BatteryLife4 ай бұрын
That is with most other EVs as well, but they still have higher consumption with AWD.
@petitbarzun3 ай бұрын
@@BatteryLifethey may have found a way to reduce that difference. The XPENG G6 has WLTP 570 km (RWD) and 550 km (AWD).

Do you verify tire pressure before your drives, they can have a big impact on your consumption.

Good point that I haven't seen anyone mention.

On level ground at constant speed, the weight of the extra motor will make very little difference. With lots of acceleration and deceleration the difference would be bigger, because regen isn't 100% efficient.

7.5% difference in the calculated battery size doesn't sound right

Difference is 1.9 kWh/100 km more for the awd according to your table (in worse weather) 🤷

169Wh/km at only 110kmh? that is a thirsty car 😂
@abraxastulammo99403 ай бұрын
Fun fact: EV Database "highway" consumption is for a constant 110 km/h, too. 😊 Interesting to compare for sure.

Your test is flawed because 100-20 and 80-13 are not comparable. Just do the math, 188*287,1 on AWD equals 53974,8 Wh for 80% (100-20), which would calculate as 67468,5 for 100-0, obviously a wrong result since battery is 64KWh. Same result on RWD is 169*249,1 = 42097,9 for 67 percent (80-13), which would calculate as 62832,68 for 100-0, close to correct value of 64 KWh. The obvious explanation is that the SOC scale is not linear, there is more Wh in 100-50 compared to 50-0.

How was petrol cars in the beginning? You can fill it up 80%? but if your fuel tank is below 10% you can't fill more than 50% or drive faster than 25km/h with 25 hp?
@jadams34273 ай бұрын
Adaptive cruise control should be illegal above 50kmh. It makes the car go as if it has an incompetent user. It also causes highway congestion. It also puts zombies into deeper unconsciousness.

I am having trouble charging my EX30 Ultra SMER with a Tesla mobile charge cable and just get the Waiting displayed on the screen. Is anyone able to replicate this issue?
@pdecaux4 ай бұрын
Not had a problem so far (although only used two UK public Tesla chargers so far). Which software version are you on? I am 1.4 and I think it solved some charging issues
@rinksdinks4 ай бұрын
It’s not the public Tesla chargers, but the 3-pin Tesla mobile charge cable that plugs into home outlet
@pdecaux4 ай бұрын
Ah, not sure about that. Waiting... could just mean your maximum charge setting is lower than your actual state of charge (it does not error). Do you need to do anything in the Tesla app to allow it to recognise all EVs?
@pdecaux4 ай бұрын
Also, does the 3 pin charger supplied with your EX30 work.
@rinksdinks4 ай бұрын
There is no charge limit or schedule set so no reason it shouldn’t charger and Volvo do not supply the 3-pin charge cable with the EX30
