@Ralf Ferfi I found xc40 had a body roll. My spouse will kill me if she read this. She wanted xc40 for sunroof and I said c40 rides better. 😆 🤣 😂

The Volvo's are significantly more expensive than Polestar 2 in my country (Norway). I chose Polestar 2 because of this and because of design.

@@MrGeekGamer Yes, I agree, the blinking indicator sounds are very nice in my opinion. And not to loud as in many other cars. Other audio warnings also sounds very nice in my ears.

The more I see about this, the more I like about Volvo's approach to this. One pedal on/off. Steering firm/normal. Pre-condition cabin: 22*c/72*f. Drive mode=she go when you press skinny pedal. I currently have an Acura RDX ASPEC Advance with a bunch of drive modes that modify engine controls, steering ,suspension firmness, steering ratio, AWD /torque vectoring performance, all of it, and frankly, I find it annoying. Many cars have t he ability to modify these things SEPARATELY, even. A nightmare. I really appreciate Volvo's approach to simple effectiveness.

Polestar 2 has superior styling v outdated Volvos and the Google Range estimator is amazingly accurate (12,000 mile driving experience) & very useful so please don’t be put off by his range indicator comment.

They all have the same Google range estimation. Range is displayed not accurate. Just every 10km steps.

Getting my C40 in beginning of September. Took my V40 for maintenance and they gave me C40 for test drive and that was it lol! Ofc the one with dual motor... I can confirm that that 300kW is just fricking awesome! 😅 I tested polestar 2 too and something was off with it... The blinker sound, the small cap infront of roof window was collecting moist in Finnish winter so there was ice, some other things that I can't quite put my finger on... I mean polestar 2 is awesome car , but just not quite for me... I liked C40 more... Only downside of C40 is the view from back window but that is something I can easily cope with side mirrors

I don't get the point of the Polestar stand-alone brand if Volvo is going to be a pure electric brand. It's not even as if the Polestars are quicker; the C40 is as fast as any Polestar branded pure electric car and one of the fastest accelerating Volvos I can remember.

The reason why you need all keys to pair your phone in the Polestar 2 is simple: You can activate the digital key function. Which works amazingly for months now.

Does c40 drive better than xc40. I found xc40 suspension to be soft. That means more body roll, but nice ride at slower speeds. C40 was more hard. What are your views

Volvos are supposed to have the light set in “Auto”. The tail lights are always on no matter what type of weather so you won’t have to be insecure about that.

Yes, but when it is foggy in the day in setting Auto the low beams don't come on. I would like that and want to be sure.

@@brucekookli5507 Polestar 2 is cheaper to own, and drive, here in Sweden. A little more expensive in Purchasing, but it pays off quickly. If you drive 25,000 km / year, you save today, £ 1750, which is the total price difference between El and Diesel, which you run out of. The tax is £ 29 / year for EV, and £ 1704, for a Diesel car / annually, the first 3 years. In addition, there are not as many mechanical parts on an electric car, and thus also both easier and cheaper to service an electric car. The battery pack, on the other hand, is the expensive piece, around £ 8100 - 9720. The environmental bonus in Sweden is today £ 5660. It is paid to the first owner after 6 months of ownership.
