That CRKT is no longer a pocket knife, it's a pocket scimitar!

Hello and thank you for such a wonderful program. My name is Rudy. I’ve been watching your channel only for a short time, however I find it very informational and entertaining. Thank you. But I have a question for you. Do you own a Case Hammerhead folding knife buy any chance? I was emancipated at 17 and joined the US Coast Guard. While at boot camp I had a opportunity to go to the PX. Which was a great treat at the time. I was walking around in the store and came across one of those old glass front display cases showing all the knives they had in stock. I remember seeing many beautiful knives, some fixed blades other that were pretty small with small blades. Then the magic hit me right between the eyes! It was the most beautiful knife I’ve ever seen. It was the Hammerhead folding knife. I had to have it! Engraved on the blade (I’m sure they use a laser now) is a picture of a full body Hammerhead Shark. I don’t remember what other features were on it, but this was in January of 1979. Recently I’ve been collecting EDC gear and Camping Gear as well, I’m retired now and bored out of my mind! So I began to buy things for my 72hr bag and knives for camping. Well this got me thinking about this knife again. I wondered, who made it? After several hours of looking at different knife companies it finally hit. Case Knives!! I went to their website and punched in Hammerhead in the search box. Low and behold, there it was! Oh my gosh, the excitement and joy of finding my first real knife and what sentimental value it holds for me. My dear lord I’m buying it now!! I opened my wallet and wouldn’t you know, it was out of stock! I was so disappointed! Well this must have been about a year ago. From time to time I go back and it’s still out of stock. I did see another, same knife but with different scales. No, I want the one I had. It had black scales. My question is. Do you own this knife? It would bring this old man a great deal of joy if you could do a review of it. Believe me when I say, I’m going to record it and keep it in my phone and computer until I pass. I believe someone stole it from me shortly after boot camp. Well thank you for your time. I really do enjoy your program very much! I like watching your Zippo collection as well. I own a few myself. You and yours please stay safe and healthy. Thanks for listening! Rudy

is it possible to swap the scales and the liners or are the stuck together
@cutlerylover3 жыл бұрын
I dont know for this one but generally they are just layered and screwed together but its always possible some makers glue them together although I dont see a need to do that
@gerardmcquade3 жыл бұрын
@@cutlerylover i was thinking what would happen if you put the liners on the outside and the scales on the inside?

You know I've never ate any type of survival food. I have eaten what we have preserved in jars or dehydrated. Never went out and bought hikers or military rations. I always thought if I'm going to eat I'm going to eat good.

There's a reason it's called survival food lol. Nothing wrong with it better than nothing but better to plan for total worst case scenario for that food and grow veg learn to forage etc.

7:39 "1,000 liter lifespan... 100,000 liter, excuse me... there is a difference, it's a hundred times more..." 14:32 "But, I mean, 100,000 gallons, if that's an accurate estimate..." No, it is not. 8:20 I'd like to see that cover stress tested. It looks like it wouldn't survive a fight with an Altoids tin.

The cover doubles as a cup...I dropped it mon accident so it can taker a normal fall fine but I doubt it would survive it if you left it under your deadfall lol
