In this one I think pacifist and genocide would become “honor” and “disgrace”. You would fight in the pacifist route, so it would be called honor instead. It would be a run based on Bushido, while “disgrace” would all be against the principles, like killing while someone is sparing you or being unjust.

Three routes - Honor (Pacifist), Dishonor (Genocide), Ronin (Neutral). I would think that the difference between what route you have can be partially linked to what sword you choose to draw - Like any samurai, you carry two - although both are actually tantō. The catch being that one is a Masamune, the other is a Muramasa. The Masamune is your Shōtō - it overall has lower stats and less reach than the Muramasa - however, it also gives you the option to spare bosses. (That being said, it's entirely unusable during the bossfight with Asgore, due to him breaking it beforehand.) The Muramasa is your Daitō - and has superior stats, but outright requires that you slay your opponent. No mercy. Rather distinctly, it also hurts you if you re-sheathe it without dealing damage. ( The Rōnin ending requires that you kill bosses using the Masamune. The ending of the Honor route involves you as Asriel's _Kaishakunin,_ later serving as a retainer to and an adopted member of the Dreemurr clan - as well as the ambassador between the freshly unsealed Land of Yōkai and the rest of Japan. The ending of the Dishonor route involves you being overcome by the spirit of your Muramasa and eventually turning its blade on yourself. The Rōnin ending sees you simply wandering between Japan and the unsealed Land of Yōkai. Every now and then, you do stop by Toriel's inn, though.

Fun story: first genocide route, i felt like a god. Wandering around, killing shit. Felt great, when undyne died in one go i was just like “oh cool i can skip the fight” then she dun got determined and i hit a stalemate. I actually ended the route because i respected the character for stopping me when other games couldnt and went on to do a pacifist route and cut the game off there as a sort of payment. I havent done a genocide route since Edit: i finally finished that battle. Sans is next
