Luckily I got to see Simone at the 2016 tour here in Seattle, but sadly both the last and current GOAT tours have no shows anywhere in the Pacific Northwest :(

I know, I was so disappointed that GOAT is not coming to Seattle! So I got tickets for Los Angeles and I'm flying down there this Friday :D

Talking about Marta and Romania, I would highly recommend a book called "I Must Betray You" by Ruta Sepetys. It has nothing to do with Marta, but shows a side of Romania during Ceausescu's rule that is very eye-opening.

I would love to see another final in major competitions: One for the best combined VT (2 vaults) + FX score, and one for the best combined UB + BB score. We already see many athletes tend towards these categories/apparatus anyways. We've got specialist finals (EF), a generalist final (AA), so why not add a final that lies in between the two for those that excel in power vs. fluidity.

Mohini was also respected by Marta after mo confronted Marta about being talked to and treated her like a child. Mohini wasn't having it the topping point was mohini told Marta not to chastised her in front of the other girls and mohini also told Marta she was not a child and would not be asking permission to shower or use the restroom. Mohini wasn't playing with Marta and side views are necessary especially for floor because tumbling passes should be seen from the side. IDC what anyone says but the side views are best for viewers

Marta sounds Bipolar.... I do have to disagree with Spencer on the ratings of the Amanar Vault on his web site....the vault of Gabby Douglas was filmed from the camera further away from the horse than it was for Maroney so we cannot see the height nor distance that she traveled!!! After all that vault was the second highest vault score at those games!!!, so she deserves a much higher ranking than 10th, I'd put that vault in the top 5. go look, at the vault and the white 2012 markings on the wall, while Maroney vaults we don't see the middle on because the vault blocks itso it is obviously the camera is a minimum of 6 feet further down the track during Gabby's vault than it was for Maroney's!!!

Did you know there are other options for USA presidency? for example JILL STEIN. By the way I talk about this here because it is and alternative media (yes about gymnastics) so we do not have to deal only with the mainstream that doesn't care of our real needs. Also we have talk here a lot about how not even athletes have decent access to health care system.

Seeing as how the topic is relevant, I do want to draw fans' attention to this vault kzbin.infoUgkxYgN-OBvCUOezFEahYql-RuGqtF1HpZAU?si=wk_RSOvzpmg41njD It was from a practice at the European Championships in 2000, so it didn't officially count, but I think it's still an important vault in the narrative of Simona Amanar's career. If you were around in 2000 (like I was), you might remember some chatter from the gymnastics community about Amanar having this vault up her sleeve before she competed it in the Sydney event finals. There's mention of it on the NBC broadcast and International Gymnast magazine, and I'm guessing this vault is the one that really got people excited about her potentially competing it. There is also video of her competing it at the Romanian national championships that year, but that attempt was closer to how she did it in Sydney.
