I really don't know how to feel about this new album. Even Bringer of Pain mixed some softer songs with more aggressive traditional Battle Beast material. I'll still listen to the album, but the lack of heaviness worries me. I will say though that Eden and No More Hollywood Endings are starting to grow on me, so I guess that's a good sign.

All bands evolve and change things up as they grow. For me from what I've heard so far is that Noora is singing more on this album as opposed to the more raspy vocals she's done in the past (which I love as well) and I'm very much enjoying listening to what I've heard so far...yea it's different but she was gifted with such an amazing voice that this is just a way for her to show off how talented her voice is.

@@xRemlap78x I know that, and I'm not closed off to them evolving. Like I mentioned before, I liked Bringer of Pain, and that was basically them evolving to try new things without Kabanen. It's just that it doesn't really sound like them to me; it's surprisingly generic so far for a Battle beast album, but maybe my opinion on that will change when I actually hear the full album. So far though, Beast in Black is pretty much what I pictured an evolving Battle Beast should sound like: trying something new while retaining what made you epic in the first place.

Kabanen wrote everything in Battle Beast. Everything. So the Battle Beast we hear now is basically a new band. Beast in Black is Battle Beast. No one in Battle Beast was allowed to contribute anything musically so all of it was Kabanen.

@@amazingthingsfromaroundthe2057 Which I think is probably why they feel like they have to scramble to try and evolve, which doesn't make sense because they had a winning formula with Bringer of Pain. It makes me worried for the future of them as a metal band. If I wanted them to sound like any symphonic power metal band, I'd go listen to Nightwish or Xandria. Battle Beast had what previously no one else did, and even with Beast in Black formed, it didn't seem as though they were trying to terribly push the envelope in the last album. Not that I'm against them doing new things, but a mix of old and new is what keeps fans coming back for more. I thought they had that already figured out.

It’s hard to have an opinion on small clips of an album I really liked the last one Bringe of Pain better than Unholy Savior. And some bands go back to their old style after a few albums. When I first heard Bringer of Pain I was like what the hell is this now I love it but I am a big fan of symphonic metal people need to lower their expectations a bit just enjoy it and honestly I don’t like Beast in Black that much the singing bothers me I like Noora better. I bet this has heavy songs on it.
