Could not resist and so got this and printed up some labels, attached them to blocks and away we go. The game is easy to pick up and you probably will not even need the QRS after a few battles. Served as a great introductory game for the grandkids - who all now have their own army in different colours ( I even replaced the mon were necessary) and they are having a blast. To add to the fun , I have been working on some new units to add to the mix (Cavalry, warrior monks, yari ashigaru etc) and trying out a few tweaks to the basic system This generally comes down to not allowing shooting after moving and making some units pay a command point if they want to adopt a particular stance. The various unit types are also more closely defined and each has pros and cons To add to the fun these extra 12 unts are added to the army to make up 24 units. at the start of the battle the general/hero unit is taken and then the rest of the army (11 units) are drawn randomly from a suitable container. Each player then deploys at the same time, keeping the units face down or facing them until all have been placed, the armies are then revealed. Okay sometimes its unbalanced but who said war had to be fair and anyway it is a quicker way to get a pick up game - you know some people will always try to create the "super" build if points are involved. Well done for this and I am looking forward to see what comes next
