Oof, I already have a bad feeling about this campaign considering Lewis Stingeley's tendency to not bother equipping people he doesn't like with armour, weapons or shields. Ben's got his work cut out for him, that's for sure.

Lewis does not MinMax he MaxMins then Ben has compensate with Elite Tier battle strats. Lewis is basically a Ben handicap for greater challenge and more entertaining content out of frustration.

I was thinking about this watching XCOM yesterday. That's probably why Ben does these streams. Lewis makes the game harder, and thus more fun for Ben.

Recover is huge. Also prioritizing (Melee) M Attack, M Defense, and Fatigue is important. Armors go up to 400+

I've yet to find a 400 durability armor. I've seen the davkul armor, and gotten 375 on an artifact armor with armor attachments.

This isn't end game tho. 150 armor is pretty low. You can also get levels past 11, it goes quite high to low 40's I think. Granted perks stop coming after level 11.

@@jasondeardorff3823 you can edit save files for that. But yeah, I'm actually laughing at ben thinking that was "end game". Though I suppose for some it is. The game gets really easy once you get your dudes super geared, or its insanely hard because you fight 26+ units at a time with your 12 bois

I like how, in both this and Mount and Blade (Which have oddly similar Campaign gameplay.) it's a good idea, when you start, to just put around in one nation, then once you've made enemies just leave and go somewhere else once you have a good starting point.

Despite being a totally different game genre this is soo similar to Mount and Blade in so meany ways its crazy! I really want to play this now. Also the club with the spike on the end was always one of my favorite weapons in M&B, not because it was that good just because it was so cool and nasty looking :p

tiltbrush is actually quite good. Virtual Desktop was but now Steam and Oculus have their own Desktop access modes. Generally is the VR situation not as bad as they make out. If you get sick after an hour it's onbviously different. I'm not a fan of Lewis' habit of dismissing things he has never tried. Hence Divintiy 2, the real one....

Might change my men up, 1st play through I only had 3 guys at back with crossbows and hunting bow with a curved hook as secondary but the front was spears and shields with medium armour and a single heavy axe man. Worked well but I'm only on begginer/begginer might start again a little harder.

Yes. Lewis can _always_ faff about with gear and loadouts some more. (And then, when he finally does get fed up with it, he customarily declares the best weapons "wank" and the best soldiers "garbage" (pronounced "gârbáge"), and refuses to equip anyone with the former, or the latter with anything. At least that's how it generally goes in _X-COM._ :)

The atrocious tactical layer visuals are the only thing keeping me from this game. I don't usually care about that kind of stuff, but this looks worse than the first X-Com. I just don't like the vibe I get from a bunch of static floating heads. They really need competent artists over at that studio. The strategic layer is nice, comparatively.
