@Robd1 replies yeah seriously, kind of feel like it's our duty to keep the legacy of MotU alive. My son could care less about it but my 5 year old daughter can name you off at least 10 characters. Her name is Stella and I call her Stellator.

I got this one Christmas of 85 and loved it! I played on it all the time, and would even just use it as a chair when I was watching my cartoons. Sometime in the mid-late 90s we had a yard sale and my mom sold it for $25. Even though I hadn't been able to actually use it for years at that point, it's still disappointing that I don't have it anymore, and that we let it go for so little (before ebay who knew these things would be worth money?). Great video Dan, it's great to see one again, and in such great shape. :)

I wanted one of these so bad as a kid, never got it, but, once when I was in the hospital my grandmother bought me an inflatable Battlecat (which had no helmet/mask for whatever reason) and I still have difficulty forgiving my sister for sitting on it too hard and popping it. Thanks for sharing this.

I had one of the wonder spring ride horses. I'm 42 now, but I can clearly hear those springs screeching as I rocked back and forth. I rode the heck out of mine. I got hurt as well, however it involved me rolling off the top bunk of my bunk bed in the middle of the night and falling on top of the horses head. The plastic ear gouged a wound into my back. We were tougher back in those days lol!

I had one of these as a kid of the 80's. Battle cat and I never missed an episode of He-Man. I rode him into battle until I outgrew him and then he was given to my younger cousin. Wish I still had it today as a collector piece .

He plays with it with his son. Just his son. Totally doesn't ride it himself. We all believe that. I remember having a spring horse but I don't know if it was a Wonder brand. I was too young to remember anything special about it and I think I had more fun with my pedal-powered fire engine but I remember having it.

Do you know if yours has been repainted at some point, or if it's the original paint job? Have you ever seen color vintage photos of it out of the box? I'm about to add one to my collection, and the paint is sloppy. If the paint was sloppy when it was new, I'd probably leave it. If it's sloppy from a poor refurbishing attempt, I'll probably clean it up with some new paint. (Your bad influence with the recent Eternia parts pick up is what pushed me over the edge to get this.)

Just a little warning on the way your battle cat is put together... the springs are not on right! I have a large collection of rocking horses of all sizes, makes & models & the springs are too lose with the pieces you have them hooked on to! The little pieces on the end of the springs are saposed to be inserted into the spring as a safety so the spring doesn't pop off!
