Battle Cats - Primitive Souls

Note: Bring a Radar once you feel comfortable beating this stage. Dogumaru normally has only a 3% drop rate.
Introducing the next Legend boss, Dogumaru:
Dogumaru is a Relic backline enemy. Dogumaru has 1,000,000 HP, 3 KBs, 9000 damage with rapid attack rate, 15 speed, and 500 standing range with Omnistrike from -500 to 700 and a 100% chance to Curse for 20 seconds. Dogumaru provides constant Curse procs and significant damage to your entire frontline and makes pushing into it very difficult.
This stage is actually a remake of Crazed Lizard, starting off with 3 strong Mooths. Unless your Fishman is boosted you will need 3 hits to take down a Mooth with it. Take them down quickly to build up your wallet and carry over a stack of ranged attackers to start taking down the first Dark Otter. Dogumaru should come in soon afterward and if you’re fast you can try to rush Dogumaru with Bahamut. However, the next wave of 2 Dark Otters comes in shortly after, so it might be worth saving Bahamut until after that. Make sure Cyberpunk is out to support your other units and make Dogu not push as much.
From here, more waves of 2 Dark Otters will spawn in, alongside 2 more Dogumarus throughout the rest of the battle. Kill Dogus as fast as you can since they are incredibly dangerous when stacked up. In my case, all 3 Dogus ended up stacking up, but in that situation, carefully let the Dogus sync themselves up on your base then use Bahamut to hit all of them at once. One or two Dogus should die from this maneuver. After the next Dark Otter wave after the third Dogu comes in, no more Dark Otters will spawn and you’ll be left with the remainder of the Dogus still alive at this point. Take them down and finish off the base, being wary of the anti-cheese Mooths and Dark Otters.

Beating this stage and obtaining Dogumaru will also unlock Enigma level 6, which removes inferior maps from the random map pool and replaces the normal Hunter’s Map 2 map with the superior Hunter’s Map 3 map.
As a unit, Dogumaru is an anti-Traitless midrange tanker, evolving into Doguemon who has superior stats. Doguemon has 81,600 HP, 2 KBs, 5.3k DPS, 15 speed, 350 range, and 3900 cost with a 104 sec cooldown. Doguemon is Resistant vs Traitless and is immune to Warp and Curse. Doguemon is an interesting unit, filling a very rare niche that is only shared with Dark Beastlord Garu. However, Dogu has a few flaws that keep it from filling in the role well.
Ironically, they’re the same weaknesses that Dark Garu has: no resistance to CC and targeting an aggressive trait. Although Dogumaru has an impressive 326,400 effective HP vs Traitless (422,400 at 40), Traitless enemies are very fierce. R. Ost will shred through Dogu very easily and Dogu can’t resist the CC from other Traitless enemies such as Mr. Mole and Henry.
However, I’m prepared to say something bold, something that the community highly disagrees on: I think Dogumaru is actually really solid. Sure Dogu can’t hold a candle to the strongest anti-Traitless units, but Dogu has incredibly high effective HP. Its main flaw is a long attack cycle with a relatively low DPS for a midranger at 5.3k. On pure Traitless stages though, Dogumaru should be able to protect your stronger backliners through its sheer bulk. Don’t sleep on Dogu.
