I love this take on Dawn's champion theme and how it takes parts of the DPPt trainer battle theme, her lab assistant theme, and Route 209. She's a culmination of all the experiences we've had with her along her journey to become Sinnoh champion, and now she's a powerhouse in her own right.

Always loved the idea of a champion being a main protagonist that you used to play as in past games, similar to Red! Her team I imagine would be something like: -Azelf -Scizor -Empoleon -Mamoswine -Togekiss -Giratina (Origin Form) You'd fight her immediately after fighting Cynthia, a surprise similar to how you'd fight Blue in Gen 1.

It's probably because her anime counterpart's Pokemon is Piplup. Interestingly enough, her counterpart in Masters EX has a Turtwig, and she's established as the player character over Lucas in there.

Sadly it’s not the case in Masters since Dawn there have Turtwig and evolved to Torterra while Barry have Piplup.
