The special concert was performed at the United States Military Academy at West Point, on the Hudson River in New York.

I saw the Tabernacle Choir sing at the Disney Amphitheater in LA. for the first time and was blown away. Not only did they sing like a perfect machine of oneness, but It seemed almost as if there were extra angelic beings and even a extra glow emanating from the group. Maud Jeffries married my childrens' Great Grandfather JBJ Osborne ( Jimmy) in about 1900. They settled at "Bowylie" Gundaroo, New South Wales. This hymn was played at their funerals and that of their son Bedford. A very moving connection with the past.

I got to sing the same, exact version while in my high school chorus in 1955 and we went to Toronto, Canada to perform before a live audience! It affected me greatly (the words AND the version) and every time I hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform it my eyes tear up and it is all I can do to sing along with them! This is by far my favorite makeup of a chorus .... equal parts men and women. Too many of the groups I have seen in recent years are at least 75% women ....
