700 Sikhs were captured along with Banda Singh. They were hungry for many days and they arrows were finished and swords were blunt . Mughals asked them to convert. They refused. Daily 100 Sikhs were killed and no one got converted. After 4 days . 300 Sikhs left. Mughals told their soldiers don't give them food for one week. After one week mughals brought a basket full of Rotis , they thought they will surrender with hunger . They gave a roti to Sikh prisoner . He didn't eat it and passed it to second. Second passed to third. The roti went through all 300 hands and finally they throw it towards person with basket and said le apni roti. Tu kya sochta tha Teri roti ke liye jhuk jayenge. Ye sikhi guru ko sar dekar mili hai,

But to her surprise, her son refused to recognize her and stated that he was also a part of Khalsa Army and wanted to be executed along with other brother soldiers.

Sir, 1. The name of the general was Banda Singh Bahadur and Band Singh Bahadur (or Band Bahadur Singh) (Its Bandaaa). He was named Gurbax Singh after taking Amrit but since he had requested Guru Gobind Singh to take him as his Banda (his follower), thus he was named Banda Singh Bahadur. 2. The vistory tower ay Chapar Chiri was constructed by Govt of Punjab in 2011 as a mark of respect to/in memory of the victory of Khalsa Army. 3. The Sikhs who have been taught by their Gurus to always be in high spirits (Chardi kala) do not consider the period from 1711 to 1733 as black period because those were the times when the Sikhs remained true to their Faith in turbulent conditions also.
