Battle of France 1940 - Maginot Line defence - Squad 44 (Post Scriptum)

I'm trying out some more Post Scriptum. This is probably the most immersive, realistic and hardcore WW2 tactical shooter I've ever played.
In this video you can see how the sound and visual effects are stunning. The new Maginot map is beautiful and I had a lot of fun trying out the French forces for the first time.
Post Scriptum is a tactical first-person shooter video game set during the Second World War, developed by British studio Periscope Games. It is published by Offworld Industries through Steam and was initially developed as a mod for Squad before the Periscope Games team turned from modding team to company with the help of Offworld Industries and Post Scriptum became its own standalone game.
The game features several playable factions, these being the US, UK, France, and Germany, with each faction having its own weapons and vehicles.

The map is awesome i played my first proper battle on it yesterday and it was some of the best action ever in this game, with there being valleys hills and small towns there are so many opurtunities for flanking and attacking its so fun

The maginot line was not meant to deter a german invasion, it was meant to was meant to force the german to invade from somewhere else, somewhere the french believed they could concentrate troops where they had the advantage. Meaning along the Belgian river where they had to aggreement with to preposition troop and fortifications. The problem were that the Belgian got cold feet believing they could still avoid a war if they stayed neutral and the french did not extend the line toward the Ardenne believing moving troops throught it was impractical. The line worked very well, the rest of the plan, not so much.

“The Maginot line was not meant to deter a German invasion” I’m not an expert on defensive strategy but I think building massive defences is meant to deter an attack. And my point wasn’t that the line was flawed, but that it failed in its ultimate purpose (preventing the invasion of France) because the Germans just went around it, thus nullifying all of its defensive potential. @@IronHeartGamingYT the goal of the Maginot Line was to force the German to go around it. However for lots of reasons the German managed to win against the French. But the Maginot Line did her job and btw Germans failed to capture it after they breached into France

They even designed underground tunnel layer for this map but it still needs some optimization before fully releasing it. I think It’s going to be even better later on.

As a restorer of a maginot line fort, this map is very inacurate... Maginot line wasn't useless btw but still a great video
