it was Yuan Shao ignorant that lead to his defeat...he threatened to kill any1 that go against his plans that no advisers dare to go against him plus the lost of Wen Chou and Yan Liang his army lacked leadership...out of 700 000 troops sent out,200 000 troops were lost because of his indecesiveness

but it's one of the reasons. LOL hahaha. Yuan Shao also lost because Cao Cao had Guan Yu. and Guan Yu killed Yan Liang which forced Wen Chou to take revenge and fall to a trap. Thus dieing also haha
