I like the fact that this deals with an element of the Harry Potter storyline that often gets forgotten. The characters of this film aren't well known or very important in the final outcome of the battle, but they, too, went through horrible things (like killing someone for the first time) to defend their friends. Even after the battle, everything didn't turn out perfect. It still left scars. I really enjoyed this film. Great work!

Considering you did with with a zero budget is absolutely astounding! This is by far one of the best fan-made films of Harry Potter I've seen. The idea itself of seeing more of the battle of Hogwarts from an "on the ground perspective" rather than follow Harry is brilliant! This certainly gave me goosebumps watching it. I remembered watching this 9 years ago and i came back because it was just so memorable. I'm a marvel fan now but i missed when i used to be genuinely so passionate about harry potter and it's community. I love used to watch so many of these fan films as a kid and i just came back for the nostalgia. And star wars and lord of the rings ones too so many good memories

I love HP with every bit of my heart and usually dislike anything but the original (even The cursed child) but damn, i liked this. The beginning was a little too long (the courtyard battle) but when they reached the forest I was NOT expecting anything that happened! So realistic. In the original everybody is saving each other. Here you can see the real fight for survival. This battle is real! No hero to save everyone, no drama, just the cold truth - in the end, you fight for your life. Sorry for the long comm. *hugs*

It's been over a year since I last commented on this film, and now that I've gotten into video editing, I can appreciate this film even more than before. There were a couple cuts that could've been made a bit smoother, but overall, the post-production was pretty much as good as everything else. The acting was intense, but not overdone, the wand vfx were crazy good, and the editing was, as I said before, unusally good for this film being zero-budget. Oh yeah, and I love how you can tell that the camera person is running with everyone, but it fits so perfectly with the scenes. And one more thing: I love how you all showed that love, grief, and anger can make even the best people do things that they aren't necessarily proud of. Im really looking forward to seeing Gallowmere when it comes out.

That is very kind of you! It seems like a life time Battle of Hogwarts came out and that was the first time making a film of any kind! The color tones were really close to those as in movies, which makes it resembling to the movies. The way they make their body movements in movies,during duels, 'waving their wands around themselves' - that makes it look like they're putting all their efforts to cast a spell, their facial expressions (screwe up-angry)during that, the way they hold their wands in movies, taking their wands slightly backwards as light leaves their wands- that action-reaction thingy, using non-wand hand to support the wand hand and leaning forward, body posture as they perform a spell, similar to that when you hold a knife and want to cut someone, the distance they'll put between themselves, their clothes and faces a bit dirtier and worn out-old,untidy hair I feel that's where further resemblance-to-the-movies can be added to make it more realistic as the theme was battle, darker-greenish and a bit less colored background, lesser bright lights would make it look more effective. It was really good Video, I hope you'll make more videos like this, and further improve yourselves!

Guys, it is incredible! When I saw a trailer I thought you have enough budget because it looks like a real professional film, not a fan video. Today I watched the movie and was surprised that all the miracle on screen was made without financial support. All of you really have the great talent and sparkles in your eyes. I especially liked the final scene where the flowers grown on the spot turn into flowers grown years later. The action was also good, as was the standoff with the kidnappers, but the shots of scenery and people standing or walking around took a bit too long, to the point of making the movie's pacing feel very slow, especially for a battle scene. However, I liked the film anyway, and liked it enough to re-watch a couple times since the first time I saw it.

This was really powerful. Obviously it's only a small segment of everything that happened at the Battle of Hogwarts, but that's what's so great about it: it tells the story of one of the thousands of people Harry never sees. Especially considering you had, well, no funds, this was amazing, because you really show the emotions of the people fighting, losing their loved ones, and defending Hogwarts. I thought it was excellent.

I know you said that there wasn't much of a budget for this film. It was still so amazing! I got chills I felt tears forming in my eyes. I love how you focused on the idea of how hard it is to defend yourself to kill for the first time, to defend friends and classmates, and losing some in the battle. Fantastic film!!!

This actually made cry. Harry Potter has such a special place in my heart and in so many others' and this touched it right there. I got something way beyond my expectations and you really did well! Like everyone else has been saying "considering you had no budget" - it was actually fantastic. The live filming was really good and the actors (well most of them) did well conveying the emotions needed to support a film with little dialogue, so well done! The "spells" were pretty good too - but the rest of the CGI was little off (but I can't complain with no budget)..all in all really really good! Congrats! :)

That was the main character as an old woman, years after the Battle of Hogwarts. She came back to the site of the battle to place flowers in remembrance/memory. I thought it was a fantastic scene, especially the way he transitioned from her young to turning old. It honestly doesn't take rocket science to realize that though, to all the people asking what this scene was about -_- it's pretty obvious. I mean, they're wearing the same clothes!

Special effects of chamrs during duelling is the best I've ever seen in fanmade videos!!! Hand & wand movements could be done smoother & more fluid. And I like it most that there are no gestures of "showing off", which is common in other fanmade videos!

Great premise and pretty well made film. Love the idea of a full length Battle of Hogwarts movie. Only issue I can see is adolescents casting Avada Kedavra non verbally, which only the highest level wizards could do. Aside from this, damn good job.

I liked the entrance to Hogwarts, the idea is awesome since we do not get to see the same in the films. 2. Do the battle actually occurs in the day, well I must admit the photography & vfx is great in the day light though. 3. Fire, shockwave are not the real, but Hogwarts seemed real at in the image (at times); so real that it actually exists. 4. Fans, your tactics are awesome, stunning and hard to describe how cool they are...guts brewed are great. every one of you plays an inspiration for fresh aspirants in vfx industry, also the teams which are behind its production.

Great movie! As you said, imagine if you had some kind of budget, I can bet it would have been the best fan made film ever! Very well edited and produced! The score was beyond good, it was epic. By the end of the film I was left questioning how 15 minuted could have passed by so quick. Well done!

Wow. This gave me the chills from the beginning to the very end. I almost cried when I saw the woman in the end... (She's going back to Hogwarts so hopefully she is a teacher ? :) I dunno but this idea makes me happy somehow.) It was a great idea to show how the battle went for the others students, and having such young actors for the Death Eaters makes "their" battle more horrible imo. Thanks a lot for this touching story, this is really an amazing job !
