Hello, friend. The last Rohirrim episode before the New Year!.. So, on the map, I am afraid that the Dunedain for now are a bit weak to garrison all the towns that you give them, but the previous time was the first time that you gave them to the AI, so if you take them for the second time, I think they will have a garrison, like what happened in Undertowers. So, this time I can suppose they will have a garrison. Same with Gondor, albeit a big fight is waiting you in Osgiliath, as the previous fullstack simply walked into the city. I think you'll need both Theoden and Elfhelm, so my idea is to get Elfhelm to Pelargir, eliminate the Orcs from in there, give it back to Gondor and then get him up to Help Theoden. Calenhad and Cair Andros hold well, along with the reinforcements you bring down. After you finish this job, there are two options to look for: the one is to continue your venture in the east bank of the Anduin against Mordor eliminating everything out of the borders of Ered Lithui and Ephel Duath (again with the hope of an exchange of Tirith Anduin with Lorien, giving them Dant'alad and Gelebrin, so as to hold all of the Wold and complete the ancestral realm of Rohan), whle the other is to attack Harad and Khand and continue to help Gondor, remembering the Oath of Eorl. But this has to wait for 2025. At this point, I wish you a Happy New Year, with happiness, calmness and peace, may you get everything you desire! And, as usual, let's get another small episode for our story, the last of the year. And my stories will keep going on in 2025: Theoden kept on marching and killing Orcs into Minas Tirith, as the spy had the gates open and the cavalry simply trampled Zagar and his bodyguard, elite Black Numenorean knights, tall, with very good armour and long warswords on their hands. But the Rohirrim knew that a knight, no matter how powerful or well armed he be, if he falls down he's done. And that happened with the Black Numenoreans. The same happened in Western Osgiliath, as there was only an Orc general inside and the spy opened the gates as well. Afterwards, with Elfhelm arriving in the Fields of Pelennor, Theoden sent him forth to hit Carasast, Brethil and Pelargir for Gondor. Equally, a simple battle awaited Elfhelm in Carasast, the castle fell very easily, as few forces were in there and Elfhelm's infantry was much more powerful. The armours that the smiths from Gondor had forged under Anborn's instructions worked very well. "And now", Elfhelm said to the captain of his bodyguard, "we are in quite a precarious position. We were told from the King that our next target should be Brethil". "The King knows very well these regions", the captain said. "He has fought along with the Gondorians for many years and Mudhburg and the regions around it are well known to him. We were told to get to Brethil soon, so as to give some space to Gondor. Afterwards, I suppose that we can march west till Tarnost, where we will find the Gondorian guards and touch their territory. This way, they will unite the regions that we liberate and they will be able to support us at the front in the line of the Anduin". "But they cannot", Elfhelm replied calmly to him. "Because there is a serious problem in this: the Haradrim. They have Brethil". The captain didn't speak at first, as this was a surprise. But then, he raised his head. "I suppose we are not at war with them right now, right?". "Yes", was Elfhelm's answer. "We are at peace right now. We all know that sometime the Haradrim might come at war with us, our relationship is not good at all. However, I am not the one willing to start a new war, not when we have two wars already both in the west and in the east". "So, what you think it's better to do?", the captain asked. "I'll go to the other target", Elfhelm said after quite a thought. "Pelargir. If we get it, then the Orcs have no holds in this area and the Gondorians shall be free to act at the will of the Steward. Right now, he is forced to retreat in the Fiefdoms, but he will come back quite soon. But I can't start a new war front without the order of the King. So, for now, we'll go for Pelargir and afterwards we'll have to go back to the King. He will have some quite difficult fights ahead, as the Orcs are going out of Morgul again". "And what we'll do if the Haradrim attack us?", the captain asked. "Though I suppose that we'll have the excuse we want to simply eliminate them and make that touch with Gondor that the King ordered". "Exactly", Elfhelm agreed. "It's their fault if they attack".
