Kings will only enter battle if they see their battle line started to falter. Of course, only a few kings or leaders do this. Most simply fled the battlefield and abandon their troops. It's kinda like all or nothing move. Normally, kings and generals do not join a fight since the risk often doesn't worth the benefit, except on a few rare occasions. It's not a matter of courage. It's about moral. If the leaders is killed, then it'll impact the moral of the troops and making a rout much more likely.

Wasn’t the first unification of Romania under Dacia?
@acvaticlifE4 жыл бұрын
@@VulnerableBede1 Technically no, as Romania did not exist as a cultural identity so far back then, like most countries didn't. You could argue and say that even in Mihai's time, there wasn't really a strong identity within the people of the three regions.
@240liverpool4 жыл бұрын
@@VulnerableBede1 What is meant by unificafion is that the country got back the regions after they had been split. Dacia did not need to be unified since it had not been divided. And the people from all Romanian regions knew they had the same origins and are the same nation. This is why Mihai had so little resistance in Moldova and Transylvania and his enemies were betrayed. Almost everybody in these regions wanted to be part of the same country. Hope that helps 👍

He died, was betrayed on the battlefield and subsequently decapitated, shot and stabbed at the same time by 5 guys in his tent. The betrayers were Rudolf the emperor who sent general Basta to kill him ...long stry short: the united principalities lasted 6-7 months before the *great* powers made their stinking move

What's really awesome about these videos is that although we learned about these battles in our history classes and they were depicted in films, I for one never saw the overall view of the battles.
