Battle of the Bands TSU vs. BCU

Officialbcuwildcats, I commended you for videotaping this EPIC battle. This is how a 5th is suppose to be. Both bands played with great sound & articulation. I commend also Wells and MacDonald for having both bands representing the craft at the highest pedigree!! My opinion, I'd give a slight edge to TnSU. Of Course, BCU's sound could not be matched. I believe TnSU's book had more polish on it. Now BCU's tubas were king. I salute thee! TnSU's were more aggressive which I believe is key

One of the greatest most underrated battles of all time. Cleanliness intensity dexterity all wrapped in one between two amazing programs. I watch this video numerous times and I still come up with a tie.

Both bands did great!!! BCU is still the best, but I got mad respect to TSU

Nobody lost to me,I believe these 2 HBCU had the longest 5th quarter in history. For them to know that many songs is amazing....Uniformality wise(BCU) song selection (TSU) sound wise(BCU/TSU)

Ice Cream Man by BCU was amazing. Did anyone catch the percussion work? afro cuban groove with a clave on the cowbell... they actually made the instruments talk...

TSU is the only band I ever heard play a Sade song and actually sounds good.

Why should they care about Tsu standards ? Silliness? Its music. There is no 5th quarter rule book anywhere. Any band can play and do what they want period

Very few people really get to see how deep our book goes unless you come to Daytona. Man, this took me back. Most of these songs never get brought out. Shout out to TSU for taking us there. Great 5th by both. Hail Wildcats...

This was an outstanding example of the HBCU marching band experience. Both bands were true to their personalities. I enjoyed every minute of this great battle.

Now this was a battle. All the over blowing and screaming doesn't impress me, quality of sound and song selection puts a smile on my face. This was a damn good one!!! Both Bands have my respect!
