I've heard a lot about The Night Circus but haven't read it yet, so it's interesting to hear a new perspective on it!

Reading Danni's comment and your response, I am the opposite 🤪 I feel more confident in my taste for sci fi than fantasy! I've been meaning to try The Darkness Outside Us. Love when you luck out wanting to keep the books you actually bought!

I've read Klara and the Sun as well as Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, so if you liked one, I would assume you will like the other!

I've tried The Starless Sea by Morgenstern and I would say lack of plot is one of her themes. I don't think she is my type of author. Sci Fi can be very fun, but I have found it more difficult to find my niche in that genre. I'm currently reading Gideon and am loving it! A few I have really enjoyed Murderbot, Mickey 7, and Starter Villain.

Yeah, I’ve also struggled with discovering my tastes in sci-fi. Even tho sci-fi and fantasy are both typically heavy on world building I’ve noticed my mind zones out when that world building is about space ships and stuff. Lol. I’ve read the first Murderbot book and really enjoyed it! I need to continue for sure. I’ll look into those other ones! You might like Klara and the Sun. It’s philosophical but not psalm of the wild built level philosophical. Lol
