How would someone manage breeding rats just for either 1 or 2 snakes?

I think they will start eating rats when they are really hungry. But I admit that I myself gave them ASF when they not ate rats ;) I think a part of the problem could be, that many people try switching with to big rats. A litter of 3 weeks old weanlings for example can differ very much in weight from another litter of the same age. Depends on litter size and mother. The most common feeding charts for ball python are very different. One says a small rat every week, the other a small rat every two weeks. In my opinion as a beginner and that might change, ball pythons get often to large food in to short intervals. There may be big adult males that eat a small rat every week, but a typical adult male will refuse every other meal and that is waste of resources and lifes. A bigger weanling every week would do the job. I got my first BP to eat a rat this week. She weights around 750g and got a 45g weanling. Her brother of same size did not take the rat because he was in playing only mood ;) I tried with bigger rats before, about 60g til 80g, but both juveniles didn't take them and the adult male not very often. The 10% rule doesn't work with my BPs. F/T rodents that get not eaten aren't funny, especially in the summer. You have to seal them good before putting them in the waste. What do you think about my comment and my observations? Am I totally wrong?

I agree, sometimes the size of the rat makes a big difference. I'd say most won't eat if you offer a rat that's too big or on the larger size. And if the rat is too small they won't eat it either. Depends on the mood of the snake too, I've gone through my racks trying to feed my snakes and sometimes I'll go back and offer a second time. Sometime they are in a different mood when you first open the tubs, on the second try they realize it's feeding day and will often take it on the second round.

Hey Chris! Just recently got into This channel! I’m looking into getting my first ever ball python however I’m not sure which morph. I’m not a trophy collector or breeder I would just like a pet so nothing expensive, my main thing is I feel like I really enjoy the base Fire, Enchi, and Lesser morphs. Do they have any issues? Or should I just get a regular wild?

IMO a normal is the way to go, otherwise you may spoil yourself with a crazy morph.

Been keeping BPs a while, all those are great with no issues. I prefer enchis, but it'll come down to preference. Might want to check out Mojave as well. Can't go wrong with any of the ones you listed.

Out of those I'd probably get a female Lesser. Takes a few years for a female to mature and then you can go for the white snake with blue eyes! None of those have issues.

I have all of these clips about the morphs and genetics in a playlist. I wish we could get ball pythons but here in Aus we already have a lot of issues with introduced species. There is always going to be a chance that someone would release the snakes into the wild and can cause major issues with our wildlife

I liked the Banana Cinnamon and the Suma. I think the Banana's should be mixed with something, in order to get rid of the freckles.
