This is going to be a fun series, people. We have lots of great players taking part and it's generating some highly entertaining stuff. Enjoy it and support our work at the same time by becoming a patron. We doing a lot with the bridge for schools initiative right now in the hope of getting many more schools offering bridge to their students so we really need your help.

on the first board East robot throws away the club because it can't conceive that South might have only 19 points; so declarer must have either SK or DQ, in which case he has 11 tricks anyway. The robot thinks that its play does not matter and just throws in the towel :)

There's good players, great players, and then these two. Superb insights.

3D did NOT show 5+D and 3H on hand 4. It showed 5+D and 3- (3 or fewer) hearts.

Robson is so clever he can actually go down in simple contracts.

Really enjoyed the second hand. End plays are always nice to my eyes, although I am not always present enough to realize they are possible/likely. But the real mystery for me is, what on earth is that snack that Zia is chewing throughout the video? I want to have some too!

It's toast! Eat toast - the breakfast of champions - and you too will see the endplays :)

The robots are the same. The difference in play by the robots was due to the difference in the bidding.

Blimey, the robots I'm used to would respond to Blackwood on board 3.

Great idea but pretty unwatchable due to having to listen to Zia chewing through the entire video. A bit ridiculous.

“Throughout the entire video” is a bit of an overbid - he eats a bit of toast during the discussion of the first couple of hands. To be fair to Zia, he did offer to re-do the discussion but we felt that would detract from the spontaneity. These zoom call recordings have the odd fault but isn’t it great to be able to look over the shoulder of world class players who give their time for free to this project - toast or no toast?
