Full Throttle Off Road is it ok just to floor the pedal when taking off it won’t blow out your belt or wear it down faster ? Or is it better to kinda give it some gas then floor it ? Or double clutch it? Any tips while racing ?

@@LGM03.10.2 it's the heat that blows the belt. Long continuous pulls. Ever since I got the razor back temp gauge I have never blown a belt. Not to say it wont happen but atleast i can see where i stand with heat.

I do not think switching cars would make any difference. The VR car is clearly getting the early jump in several passes which gives EVO the crown. Great video!

Also, I have to say MTS has impressed me with the service they provided you. I have mostly EVO and UTV Shocks but will look into MTS on the next build because of this. Granted I will not give up my Gary Fries tuned suspension. I say job well done by all the vendors.

It would be interesting if you could have switched tunes between the cars. I figure the waste gate would be the only item you need to adjust? Maybe not, and see if that makes a difference? Love the videos , I'm interested to know if they had him adjust the waste gate ? On vivid's website and video's there is no mention of waste gate adjustment ? And if he didn't , "difference maker" ? Not saying who would beat who but might even up a little .. ????

Their claim is that you don't need those things. MTS was on site and set it up to their specifications. They did not adjust the wastegate

Your last video comparison featuring Shock Therapy and MTS seemed to have very good feed back from the comments section and no real issues from the viewers that I could see.

Aaron, you know I have Evo everything but I’m like you, I am ocd as well when it comes to cars being even in comparison when doing these tests, I do think that the windshield gave an aero advantage but y’all shoulda removed it just to make sure, especially if he does not like losing, (lol) also did either of you spin off the line, and did y’all both have the same tire pressures? Windshield does make a difference, I have tested this on other machines. I don't think it will change the outcome, but it would tighten things up a bit no doubt.

We actually tested the effects of a windshield in a drag race my friend! Look for our video on it in our library! We go to the dunes where the wind was 20-35mph and race into the wind to make it as significant as possible! The results might surprise you

Drag em up hill in the sand. Pavement is for Ferrari’s. ( which as a fellow x3 owner, we know that’s what they are in the sxs world🤗). Is there a drag hill at ur local dunes?

Hey brother! We were doing it on pavement to eliminate traction as a variable, that's all. We just want to get down to the tunes and not have to worry about tire slip holding a car up off the line. We will run them at SilverLake dunes though!!!

There's nothing staged about our review. We went out of our way to make sure it was a fair comparison. Vivid showed their true colors by insulting us because they didn't like our review.

We generally enjoyed working with them right up until this point. They actually had some guys from MTS out here to do the tune in person, and help us install the exhaust on Keith's car. Everything was fine until we actually did the race... then all of a sudden, we're fakes. We're probably going to make a venting video about the experience for our year end wrap up lol... we haven't really said much about it yet.

Do you think the windshield on the VR tune could’ve been blocking the airflow to the intercooler? You should’ve removed it... I guarantee you not getting air to the inter cooler will affect performance.

I would tend to agree under certain conditions, however - I don't think it mattered here. The temperature outside was about 35 degrees, plenty cold enough. And the majority of the gains that I had on him were in the beginning, where the intercooler isn't getting much wind anyway. If the windshield did play a part, it would be in creating drag on the car, wind resistance. But, also, the majority of the gains made were at speeds where those things wouldn't have been a factor. I think.

You should really switch drivers. 25- 30 lbs makes a HUGE difference! I am not saying that is the weight difference however the one guy looks a lot bigger than the other. Also You should contact the boys at SXS Blog.com I think Doug's brother has a PwrTune in his X3. They are having a Drag Race May 5th at their property. It is invite only but I am sure they can make room for you! I will be there and I would Love to see that. Keep up the great videos!! HDHP
