@rolandhintzman97505 жыл бұрын
First off, good job on your videos, I always enjoy them. I particularly like your evaluations/tests and your efforts to quantify the results. In regards to your belt testing I have several questions and comments. 1. I noticed in a reply to a comment that the ambient temperature during this test was 81 degrees F. What was the ambient temperature in the other tests where you provide belt temps? I have noticed, with a Razorback belt temperature gauge during several dune trips in my 2018 XRC with an OEM belt and no other changes (stock clutch, tires etc) that belt temperatures are definitely a function of ambient temperature. I don't drive as hard as you guys do but when I'm in the sand I need to use the throttle. I wish I could say that my observations are based upon a single variable, ambient air temperature, however, a variety of sand conditions from moist hard pack to dry and fluffy play a large role in how hard the belt needs to work. I also noticed an increase in belt temperatures with a half windshield. 2. I see again in the comments that you had a KWI clutch in this and a previous test. What about earlier tests? 3. Lastly, would it be possible for you collect all of your data in one table that lists the belts you've tested along with test to test variables and the results? Keep up the good work!

Interesting that you mention Evo. I tested the GBoost two seasons ago, great belt sheds heat fast. As far as i know , Glen Erlandson started GBoost. I spoke with him several times before buying one, he never mentioned Evo. Looks like Can Am has the clutching thing figured out. Even with my clutches worked over by Airdam, with an STM secondary, i'd be well into the 200's (Razorback) on the second lap of your course. I've never tried the GBoost again, run OEM now. Maybe i should give it a try again. Speaking of that, where you in Baldwin ?
