HAVE A TACTICS COVER LMAO!!!! seriously I am working on FFXV stuff but man they are HARRRRD and I still have yet to finish Episode Prompto but anyways, HUGE thanks to Casey Ormond for letting me cover this epic arrangement of his, originally performed and recorded by Amy Putt on his GAME Generation 5: Legacy Sessions album, a fantastic mix of themes from Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon, Zelda, Castlevania, Chrono Cross, and Final Fantasy, to name a few, definitely check it out here! loudr.fm/relea.... Experimenting with new camera angle. Ironically when i first started making vids this was the camera angle, then people were all like MORE HANDS so i made the transition and now people want to see what I look like I guess, though it's not very interesting. Tonberry is wearing his most Christmasy white mage coat, I'm overdue to make him some new ones lol. Working on a Fire Emblem arrangement next, probably will be up in the new year!

Omg Why haven't we seen more of this little fella around? Cute Tonberry. I have a Chocobo with a Book (Inspired by Chocobo's Dungeon), and judging by design, they might be from the same line or something. Although the robe looks customized isn't it? It's so detailed... Welp way to go off rails haha Your interpretetation shows as much spirit as always! I remember the first time going through the game... I couldn't understand a thing. The confusion felt on this arrangement is there... "Friend or enemy, life or death, treason? Comradery? What is going oooon it's so intenseee" - Yep, it's there! 5/5!

he REALLY does, Casey writes on a level I aspire to, he evolves the themes so well both melodically and harmonically, and it is incredibly pianistic writing to boot. I am just totally in love with Hitoshi Sakimoto's work and Tactics is my second favorite FF game of all time, I'm just trying to fill the void since this game doesn't get nearly enough love!

Yeah it's hard to do these FF Piano Collection style arrangements. If FFT is your second favorite game, what is your favorite one? I actually played FFT back in the late 90s, or tried to. I spent quite a bit of time early in the game leveling up, only to realize that the opponents level up with you. Then I got rekt and quit, lol. I still want to try it again because FFT is often brought up when it comes to the big classics of PS1 and RPGs.

HAHAHA it's actually FF6 that is my hands down favorite of all time, though you would never know it from my channel lmao, that needs to change lol! I can understand quitting Tactics, that game can get brutal and grindy like all classic JRPGs, but once you hit your stride in the early mid game the payoff is huge haha. definitely worth retrying though, it is a fantastic story.

I absolutely love these, it might be cool for you to due a theme from the new tactics FF Brave Exvius War of the Visions, that comes out today, might tie those fans to finding your channel. but personally I'd love TENSION 1 as its my favorite FFT theme and represents a desperate scramble in a messy battle, it really gets my imagination invigorated!

Another FFT arrangement, another one to leave be astounded. Kudos to mr. Casey, as it is not the first one of his arrangements you play that leaves me like that. It also just occurred to me that this song is called "Battle on the Bridge" because it plays for the first time (I think) on the battle at Zirekile Falls, that has that memorable scene at the bridge when Delita hands Ovelia over to Ramza. That moment in the game always left a lasting impression in me, because when it starts to hint that Ramza is just a pawn in a much bigger plot. Delita basically uses Ramza and his party knowing full well that his only option would be to take Ovelia south to Lionel, and what would happen when he did. Watching your videos is like traveling down through my memories of this game. I'll end up going for a 4th playthrough at some point. Also, ahem... "Tonberry"... Sorry lady, I'll always call that creature "Master Pug". :P I mean, I'm aware that it was a poor translation job, but I'm unable to call it anything else.

LMAO!!! Hey I understand!!! My first encounter with him was in FF6 when he was Master Pug!!!! Tonberry is such a cuter name though lmao. And his design has gotten so much cuter over the years hahaha. And yes, you are correct, that is exactly when this theme is first heard. =) When I think of the story of FFT, I still can't believe how brilliantly written it is. When I first played the game I never dreamed Delita would play both the Knights of the Northern Sky and the Knights of the Southern Sky as he did. It is tragic how he really did love Ovelia, but she could never forgive him for the way he used her, even if the end he achieved was regarded as ideal for the kingdom as a whole.

I remember that the first time I played the game I was exasperated at how deep that rabbit hole went. I was much younger at the time - still in my teens - and I could only grasp the story in its full grandeur on my second playthrough. Listening to your video again as I type this - I just noticed that it quotes the Hero Theme at certain points. I guess listening it on piano made it clearer, and the original did so with strings as I was able to check just now. In my perception, that piece is used as a leitmotif for Ramza, and that it is quoted in this song, that plays at such a pivotal moment in the story for Ramza, underlines this. Instead of being played straight, it is faster and more intense, as at that point he has made enemies of both Hokuten Knights and Nanten Knights, and his list of allies grew shorter and shorter - At that point he is also betrayed by Gafgarion for example. I'm as far from an expert on musical theory as it gets, but I do like the use of leitmotifs like that. I'm kind of baffled that this one escaped me to this day.
