Are you sure? My plays experience says otherwise. Like for Lotus if you using only Warlock and nothing else then you would get a team of plasma shooter like a Warhammer40k Tau fire-warrior team. Like bro come on, if you lining up every type of Lotus units then you will see a slash dmg guy, a puncture dmg guy, a blunt dmg guy, multiple magic and debuffer guys, and then the warlock who shooting plasma which is again magic type damage. There are many character in the game that weak to magic and some resistance to magic damage, this allow you to predicting what you are up against and then form a structure of a attack team and a defending team. If the enemy like to have geisha healer so much you can have a couple of Blade Acolyte to rush through enemies straight to kill their healer while enemies focus on stomp down your blade acolyte(s) - the warlocks of yours can join the fight killing enemy fighters with their healers busy dying. I have to admit that amassing an army of Warlock is fun but if you always doing that 10/10 and never trying anything else then you will "learn" nothing more and "enjoy" nothing more than be simple minded "ha ha look at my army warlock... enemy's building goes boom..." that it, that all you are. And lead you to simple believe that "Lotus specialize destroys buildings". The warlock attack's are magic main but innate with 'Blast' damage from lighting nature which all building are weak to. The Burn and Blast. Meanwhile, you can have access to blast damage as early as second tier soldier of dragon clan and serpent clan. That even you said "Dragon specialize explosive" make up your mind bro which one? The Dragon or The Lotus that explode enemy's building? Or the serpent? "Serpent soecialize long range" Again, I can assume you are referring to the Musketeer. Musketeer have shorter range than the Dragon clan's Archer by a few tiles of ground map unit. The only way to increase the range of musketeer is to give them sniper scope, then again the Dragon Archer can catching up with trait "Arrow Craftsmanship" that bring them Archers to be better by a few map tiles again. Don't forget that Archer have better rate of fire. "Wolf specialize sharp troops", SMH... Bro come on that gotta be a joke. Let me guess for what you mean by "Sharp" are cutting damage and piercing damage yes? right? Then I bet you are doing simple mind amassing only tier 3 soldiers again, The Berserker or a combination of the berserker and ballistaman - right? Then maybe adding Hero like Grayback or Gaihla? Literally, that is all the "Sharp" units Wolf clan has to offers, with everything else in the Wolf clan are all BLUNT damage type. It like you are telling that you are not playing the game without saying you are not.

more huts only increases the speed of getting new peasents. in the settings u can choose max population 20, 30 and 40. more is possible only with mods.

more, More, MOREEE. I always start with 2 or 3, then by mid to late game will try to have about 8 to 12 houses. Especially hiding one or 2 in the ally base.
