While gen 5 is my favorite, gen 1 has easily the best trainer battle theme, when I heard the newer part in FrLg's version of the song combined with gen 1's chiptune at 1:25 I got chills!! So awesome!!

Thanks! I felt like I had to mix the Gen 1 trainer battle theme somehow, since I had done it a few times already on the channel. That's why that particular section has references to the GSC, FRLG and Pokémon Stadium versions 😎 Makes me happy to see people catch those references :)

Plus, the sprite sheets for her on Dr. Lava's Twitter/Tumblr/Helix Chamber. Were these before GameFreak thought of Leaf? Why didn't they just confirm it already? I'm so curious to know. And if this girl was a separate character from Leaf, how'd the franchise's history have played out if they used her as intended back in 1996? How'd the sequels, the anime, manga, merch, and both official and fan arts be different?
