His sync move quote for his base unit is also "I'm the one who's gonna be the next Champion", so it seems more like they're inconsistent with the continuity/stage of their "story" since he and Gloria would only have Zacian/Zamazenta only after Gloria becomes Champion, meanwhile Leon still goes around Pasio with the Champion title, yeah it's pretty weird.

Keep in mind Pasio’s Neo Champions are more like a title of excellence in character more then being the strongest in the world or region! In that sense it’s more akin to Paldea’s Champion System, granted all 3 of them would slap Geeta!

Hop V2 AND a rival mashup?!!! Absolutely beautiful! Also, I like how their outfits reference their connections to other characters. Hop has a cape and crown pattern hat like Leon, Bede has wizard clothes because he’s the successor to Opal who is known as “The Wizard”, and Marnie is seen as a princess of sorts by Team Yell and Piers.

Might be saying this as a team yell member but Marnie's theme is definitely the one getting the spotlight in this track. you can hear the progression from her final battle theme in the background at 0:24 and 0:36 where it transitions entirely to her portion, uninterrupted by the other rival's motifs and even past that to 1:03 where the beginning of her final battle music is used as the end of the song
