Battlefield 1: EVERYONE HATES THIS GUN // BF1 Gameplay (PS4)

Some more Battlefield 1 gameplay today, I decide to use the gun that (nearly) everyone seems to hate... the RSC SMG. It's got a few big flaws, having lots of kick and long reload times, but despite this, the weapon packs a nasty punch giving it a decent TTK (especially within close range)

Honestly I enjoy using it unique and niche weapons even if they’re challenging to use. Wouldn’t have as much fun of I only used the hellreigal which is too easy to use.

My most used gun in BF1. Teaches you to be accurate with your shots and not just shooting everywhere and expecting a kill.

To be fair yes, but there’s something fun about using a gun that is generally perceived by the community as “bad” and doing extremely good with it. Plus, I like having a bit of a challenge. I never liked using guns like the Hellriegel, Automatico, & the SMG 0/18 because they are really easy to use and get streaks of kills with.

This gun is awesome sauce, i have 1,641 kills with it. It’s one of the best 1v1 guns and definitely teaches how to be a defensive player

Notice for regular players if you try to use this gun: Face 1 enemy in 5 seconds you probably can kill him. Face 2 enemy in 5 seconds you probably will die. Face 3 enemy in 5 seconds you definitely will die.

I wish this was a tanker weapon instead! I think it says in the description of the weapon that it was used by tank crews. I think this gun would have been the number 1 choice for most tankers but since it is an smg for assault where there are so many other guns to use it's not that surprising that you rarely see it in combat. Personally I think it is pretty good, but I am more the optical type for this specific weapon, the other opticals for this class sucks though; ribeyrolles optical, hellriegel defensive, smg 08/18 optical...

This is my go to smg. In general I like challenging weapons. They make you a sharper player because it makes you choose what shots to take ones not to. Huge fan of the autoloading model 8 and selbstlader 1906.

I can tell everyone who has faced them multipal times have an varying degree hate for them since is shreds like the automatico with the magazine of an LMG. I teabag any SMG user on principle since I hate that gun. Hats off to those that killed me fair and square, I will concede to that but not the damn SMG. It simply doesn't give a chance to fight back. That they can. Although a simple answer is a mele weapon or bayonet charge. I remember fighting a trench raider. I was going face first at him and he was going full steam ahead towards me. Bayonet charge in close distance kinda made him deadish and not that terrifying anymore.

I use this a lot, the only let down for me is its reload speed, this gun can dominate mid range engagements but you're lucky to take down 2 people, CQB is whole nother level with its insane stopping power.

Damage is pretty high its a good gun for 1v1 but its damage to clip size and reload rate is just soooo annoying when you run into a group or more than 1 player

Frankly, I feel that this is more a DMR than an 'SMG'. Sure, it Fires rapidly, but it just feels like the Trigger is being rapidly clicked, more than its actually firing automatically, and it's low magazine for an SMG just further cements it. So the fact that the game calls this an 'SMG', more feels like False advertising.

Ok I honestly didn't hate any gun in BF1. Everything was useable. It isn't the fedorov but it was useable. Even so its easier to use a hellregeil (or however you spell it. It's been like years). *edit* I guess it was buffed so I guess it kind of make my opinion mute.

The major problem why nobody uses it is because of its small magazine size. It could be a far better gun if Dice gave this gun a 30 rounds chauchat magazine ( because these were applyed to this weapon in WWI ) . It could be also a good LMG then too.

It definetily isn’t the worst gun , but it is so unpractical. The assault class is supposed to shred multiple enemies in close quarters (and raid bunkers, houses etc.) . But with this gun, in situations like this, you are gonna pick up your sidearm all the time.

Most underrated gun definitely. It's pretty versatile overall, like the 5-6 shot medic rifles that are good in close quarters and long distance fights. The M1912/P.16 is worse imo, often can't 4HK because of leg multipliers (so it's a worse Automatico most of the time) and the Thompson is like the same gun but more reliable/able to 2 shot/mag reload/use a trench. I have 100 stars with the RSC SMG and the M1912 storm but the storm is by far the worst assault SMG to me.

I played in a league that banned the automatico but didn't ban DLCs. So I used the RSC SMG for close quarters and beat up on the sweaty medic AL8 .25ext bois with it, since it has an identical TTK to the automatico ;D

Sorry, but the M1917 Trench Carbine is the king of skill cannons for the Assault class from my point of view. Followed closely by the Model 1900 Slug.

TBAG is wrong. This is not a bad gun, it's just a skill cannon. You need to know what you're doing. Not to toot my own horn, but I often get close, sometimes even get to the top of the leaderboard with this gun on Argonne Forest. It can also turn into a temporary semi-automatic rifle if you switch the fire mode to get more accuracy.

I don't understand why everyone that DOES use this gun only uses the factory version. I'm number 47 in the world with kills for the optical version and I only have like 1400 kills with it. Very good weapon.

I enjoy using it. Its a breeze of fresh air after using the great ones for a while. BUT... as soon as I find out myself facing more than two enemies at a time, or facing a pro or tryhard guy in the enemy team, I cant help going back to my beloved SMG08. RSC SMG is fun, best Ive got with it was a 27-1 in TDM (no revives). With the SMG08 I get 45-0, 50-1 any day, easy.

It's really not a bad gun. The dislike it largely due to it only having 9 rounds to fire before a reload is needed. My aim is pretty bad, so i stay away from it. But i did use it once to complete a weekly medal. Got the 20 kills, then never equipped it since lol.

Its a pretty good weapon, the problem with it, its the magazine size, just not enought ammo to kill more than one person, and it runs out of ammo so kicklly, bounses all over the way when you just are in full auto, if you fire it more slowlly kinda works fine at medium distances.
