I have just managed to get Series X and installed BF1 immediately. It is the best BF hands down. Gorgeous to look at, and great fun to play. Just need more servers as the game selection is sparse.

My god this is infinitely better than 2042 isn't it. The pace, the flanks, the gun sounds, general atmospheric sounds, artistic/ graphic style sense of purpose, general team play and feeling like you matter as a player. Love it

I think the biggest thing for me is you can tell Battlefield 1 had PASSION behind it. The developers had to fight to get it made and they gave it their all. It had a cohesive vision and drive behind so many of its design decisions. This passion and vision is sorely lacking in 2042, which makes for a much more disjointed experience.

I've been asking myself the same question and i think i know the answer. The game is simply full of details and design choices that create a certain atmosphere that doesn't feel at all watered down. The voice lines and screams i think do this best, idk another multiplayer shooter which uses voice lines in such a way and to such a degree. Teammates can compliment you on a kill or when you rank up in battle, you will hear cries of pain and desperation from your team as the enemy team charges while shouting war cries and officers blowing their whistles. Its like a single-player campaign except its not. And i cant not mention my favorite thing, ground deformation, BF1 wouldn't be BF1 without instant fox-holes lol

So guys just face it, this is the most dynamic, beautifully designed, playable and successful shooter game of the 21 century. Dice jumped over their heads creating this game. They raised the bar. They (Dice) themselves will not repeat this success. This game is like Nothing else matters by Metallica. I understand that you have to follow the trends, but it's really interesting to watch how you play bf1 rather than 2042.

I still play BF1 as well. My only problem is the limited maps and game modes with full servers. I really miss Frontline and B2B servers. B2B Frontlines and operations were amazing.

@@lochlanfitzgerald7719 use the server browser. there should be a filter option if you click on region, then you can pick the region and slots. I usually go for no slots, 1-5, 6-10, and 10+. that combination allows you to see any servers with people in them

I didn't initially love the weapons when BF1 launched, they seemed old and weak after playing BF4 but I came to love the game and looking back now it's unreal how much character and variety the weapons had. The game is a true classic. Good to see you able to run around for more than 5min without getting run over by a hovercraft or bolte too!

Cool game but WHY IS EVERYONE PLAYING AT 10AM ONLY WTF? Player base rises and peaks at 10am and lowers immediately. Am I missing something? Most servers are empty in the afternoon and the 2 that people are playing on are full with people queuing for it. Literally cant join a game.

I've gotten some new Battlefields, Cods, tried Arma and other games. Just don't even slightly come close to the dark gritty atmosphere that somehow allows for so much fun and chaos. Every game is different in BF1. I'm always coming back to this game. Its like going from a Yugo to a Ferrari when you play BF1 again.

BF1 was DICE's MAGNA OPUS. thanks to EA & DICE mgmt...trend chasers, quarterly bonus fuckers and such....this entire IP is gone. RIP DICE (not like there are any veterans left nowadays anyway). DICE just became another Bioware...I'm sad, far past disappointed..just sad. Been playing BF since the first one.

In the past month and a half I played mainly TDM . I have mixed feeling about this mode . The best thing about it is the 60hz servers. Its night and day compared to operations . But the players that plays that mode are mostly cheaters with mouse and keyboard or have way too high ping . And most of them camping in corners and in the back of the map .

I just played a match on bfv and I shit you not, the other team was almost entirely made of recon snipers, they were all on the outside edges of the map so we couldn't get to them without going out of bounds...there were literally 5 people on their team playing the obj and the rest camped....the entire match. I'm dl bf1 right now. Hopefully it isn't near as bad as bfcamp
