Sorry if there's cringe. For this video, I talk about World War I Iron Rations and Field rations and the role they played in feeding soldiers on the front lines. I also give the rations (today's equivalent) a taste test with the help of some Battlefield buddies. They were... edible. Among the rations we tried were pilot crackers, hardtack, zwieback, knaeckebrot, canned salmon, sardines, corned / bully beef, rinder fleischkonserve (beef and gravy), erbstwurst soup, dried beef, and more. This video also includes an educational tutorial / step by step instruction on how to make your own hardtack for a Battlefield 1 launch party (if you're up for that). WWI was never so tasty! (It really wasn't).
I'm not responsible if you try to make hardtack and something bad happens.
