Flanking & positioning are key parts of Battlefield 1. They give you such a huge advantage.

yeah on console maybe but dude try that on pc. you get your head blown off as soon as you start to shoot at one guy. you will come up behind say three or more guys. non of them are looking at you. you fire your gun. if you lucky you will kill one guy, then the rest turn around super fast and end you. i know its possible but its way more difficult on pc.

Great guides as always my man! Adding to this video, I have a small tip for everyone that could help in creating your own opportunity for a flank in Operations as an attacker: Throw some smoke grenades right in front of the enemy lines as bait and wait a bit for the smoke to fully build up, then proceed to flank the sides. 2 things occur at this moment that’ll boost your chances of a successful flank: There’s always a chance that you’ve been spotted by that one player on the opposing team; smoke eliminates that possibility. Running around with a red target on top of your head or on the minimap doesn’t help while sneaking for a flank. Secondly, enemy defenders that are dug in (usually MG’s and scouts) might take the bait and pay close attention towards the smoke to try and pick off people who they believe could pop out, significantly reducing their peripheral vision and situational awareness. That’s because they are convinced a direct frontal assault is imminent. They might think “Why else would smoke be deployed there besides providing cover to cross no man’s land?” Note, I don’t just mean the stereotypical no-man’s-land on trenched maps; I’m referring to the general space or killzone where both teams are able to shoot into while locked in an engagement with each other (for example, that tiny stairwell at 1:12 of Broken’s video where people are just throwing explosives towards it and then running away, getting clear from that area).

Thought about this video while playing today....wow what a difference it is thinking about how you want to engage enemies and predicting where they will come from, and even anticipating enemies flanking and out flanking their flanking. A lot of flanking but it works so well

I always flank but there will be always that camper spotted me and shoot at least once just to get my health to 50%, after i'm at the objective people kill me easily like i was a rat trying to sneak to their food, or sometimes a tank trying killed me just before i get to the objective

I have the aim but I don't have the positionning, I understand how to flank but in some maps like the sinai desert, or other open maps, I CAN'T flank with all these snipers who camp in the back of the map. I just want a solution to how to flank in this kind of map who snipers have the full map for them.

I think slink would be vital for flanking, but I also like using quick unspot and flak. I think that would b a good combo for flanking.

Latrell Spencer unfortunately, I don’t think inconspicuous will suit a quick flanking maneuver very well because it only works while you’re still, or crouch walking.

Great video/content! Completely agree. It's just doing it and taking my time that always gets me. GO GO GO mentality for the flag gets me K/score sure, but nowhere near as effective as I should be for my team.

TheBrokenMachine I’m considering swapping L2 R2 for L1 R1 in BF4. The thing is that I think it’s very hard to control vehicles with this control scheme. I like to play vehicles just as much as I like to play infantry, so I’m not willing to give up my vehicle play just so I can switch some buttons for infantry. Can you give me some advice on what to do? Do I just need to learn the controls and will I be able to use vehicles just like before I switched?

Stop giving away my secrets..... but it's a great tip. You can also bump up kills with a front assault. If you play conquest and the flag is about to be captured, wait don't rush it, pick a route you feel the enemy will rush based on your captured flags and pick them off that way. Mid map defending! Allows was your team to push the flag they have just taken.
