Played the game since I was 8, roughly 10 years ago now, one of the best games I ever had the pleasure of playing, even when I was 17 I enjoyed the game, I especially loved the planes, and my best memory of it was clearing out a point near ridge on Guadalcanal with melee only.

A moment of silence for, in my opinion, the best Battlefield there ever was. This is the title that made me a life long fan of the Battlefield franchise. Despite its simplicity as far as Battlefields go this game had such replayability and I would log hours upon hours a day between Wake, Iwo Jima, and Guadalcanal. Sometimes Coral sea but I wasn't a good pilot back then haha. Unfortunately, unlike other titles, there is no server browser for 1943 so this is her official goodbye. I feel sorry for those who never got to experience this game. Godspeed Battlefield 1943... o7 2009-2023

I will always love this theme more than the others. It starts of aggressive and loud, like you're going to war and kick ass. As the music progresses, it slowly transitions into melodic strings. Not too quiet or too loud, it's just right.

BF1943.. My first ever Battlefield back in 2010, I got it included digitally with a bundle for the PS3.. Played countless of hours and I never got bored of it. Last year it got shutdown with BFBC2 (My all-time favourite Battlefield) really feels like something is missing. All these fantastic games getting shutdown on older gen really makes me sad. All I can do is think about these amazing times, meeting new people and playing all night long back then. Damn, the nostalgia is hitting me hard.

Although Japan fought a deadly battle with the United States in 1942, Japan was unable to reach a peace treaty and had to face the reality of the mass deployment of new American aircraft and ships. Even though it is a dead rubber where it is certain that Japan will lose, 1943 feels more tragic than 1944 or 1945, when defeat is realistically approaching, because we do not know when the war will end.

between the kamikaze Jeeps, the spawns at aircraft carriers, the unique weapons depending on the nation, the soldiers' outfits or even the incredible aerial combats and a simplicity which made this game like my very first FPS and I think that if today Today I became so interested in the Second World War thanks to this game which presents three magnificent cards: The Wake Islands, Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal, with a soundtrack that immersed me so much in the game. Unfortunately that era is over and I pity all those who did not know it and who will only know the vulgar Battlefield 5 or 2042 which will never be equal to Battlefield 1943, so I say goodbye to this game which rocked a large part of my childhood and which probably changed my life and which gave me a life objective: to engage in the army when I was 18. This was the game that got me into Battlfield. I had just bought my ps3 and I downloaded a free demo of this game on psn. The demo allowed you to play 2 rounds. And those 2 rounds were the most fun I ever had in a video game. I bought the game the instant the demo was over, and played it for months and months until Battlefield 3 came out. If it wasn't for this game I would have never gotten into such an amazing franchise! And of course, this game has the best theme song in the franchise imo.

The opening sounds like gunshots. I like how different instruments seem to embody different combat vehicles too. When I hear the violins after 2:20 I envision our planes flying over the battlefield. What is fun is that CoD only exists because infinity ward wanted to kill moh with it! They did it! With incredible WW2 cods (1-3) and a stunning CoD MW then WaW came and used the exact same engine then MW2 that wasn't a masterpiece Blops with was a wonder then MW3 wicht well was the last True CoD and now it is very fucked by Activision greediness and will be missed by true CoD veterans just like MoH veterans did with their games BattleField sadly is going in the same way
