Battlefield 2042 Forgotten Mode..

Hazzard Zone is almost a great experience in Battlefield 2042 at the moment. For all it does good it's defiantly missing so many finer details. I cant help but think BF2042 got so many things right with HZ yet its all wrong. I'd love to see a return in the future of either a BR mode or Extraction based mode within the Battlefield franchise..

I think if Hazard Zone was in Portal. I think the community could figure out how to make it better. But DICE refuses to support Portal in a meaningful way and limits the tools. Just image if Hazard zone had editable player counts, squad selection limits, other objectives(like the shutdown game mode), etc, etc.

I've not played hazard zone since grinding for those final few trophies for the platinum but honestly it can be really good especially with friends, it just needs a bit more support and any BR game needs to be free to play because that's just the standard these days. Honestly all DICE needs to do is add all of the maps in, some specific challenges and cosmetics you can only unlock through hazard zone with a season pass that's free to players with the 2042 season pass and make it free to play with a purchasable season pass for players who only have hazard zone and it could be a huge hit.

Looked good, but yeah a shame it's never populated. It should be put on the "Friday night battlefield" rotation or something, with xp boost to pull people back in. Or unique unlockable cosmetics for playing the mode.

I really like HZ alot, it's just hard to find many players at the same time. Also the weather effects (lightning, tornado, high winds, etc.) is exceptional in this. I don't know what route they took on this for the natural elements but they should incorporate it more often because it is quite impressive.

Hey now that was a great video and a first time for me to see hazard zone ever! I loved firestorm and it was the first battle royal I ever played I though Hazzard zone was finished I remember them announcing stopping supporting it way back and never tried it but seeing this has opened my eyes one thing though Squid and I think I have mentioned this before to you I wish that the developers could add teams or platoons to the game so that people could then team up in game modes like hazard zone

I don't play bf2042 anymore, but when I did, I always played HZ. If the lobbies were full it would easily make a great stand alone game. It doesn't feel like a battle royal at all, which is a game mode I NEVER play in any game. It just feels like one big special operations mission to an extent. Will never know why it didn't take off. Maybe updates to and unique rewards from it would have helped. Other than the calling card and titles. If you want my advice. DM7 with the thermal sight. I believe its either 2 or 3.5 x but its the mid range thermal sight. Then always carry recoiless for vehicles, dozer and ground shields. DM7 is legendary with the HZ tryhards.

I think the biggest trouble hazard zone had was other content creators were so negative about it people never really tried it for themselves, yes it has its faults but look at DMZ it has had some awful problems but it doesn't seem to get the bad publicity Battlefield does, I wonder if it's due to Activision's marketing budget 😉

You can sit on the lip of the building next to e1. Like 2-3 stories tall there is a lip you can land on when gliding or parachuting.

These were calm rounds. You can get in a round were its pretty hectic. It changes depends on how many players joined the match. My heart starts pumping too every extraction. One time i got knocked down just before extracting. Got rezd 2 seconds before lift off. Because of the disorientation when you get rezd the Condor's door just closed on my face and all of my teammates extracted without me 😂😂😂😢

I'd like a conquest like BR where a single squad has to control a flag at certain points and if you dont have one, your squad is out. Flags change and drop in number as the game progresses until there are 3 or 4 squads left fighting for the last flag.

Im not a BR or an Extraction fan, and i don't play them. But i think the obvious way to fix them, is just separate it like CoD did. Make it its own separate game, F2P, and not attached to the main BF Game. Would probably do better and last longer by itself and with a dedicated studio/group if devs on it.

I find Hazard zone equally the most stressfull, exciting and frustrating mode... if the team clicks and you are all on point its amazing, had some fantastic games within it... but it is so crap with a bad team. Worst part is defending inside the extratcion vehicle as people just spam grenades and rockets into it.

I wish the devs would put out a campaign with the next game instead of them trying to jump on the BR or extraction game band wagon and failing again. 2042 could have had an awesome campaign that gave meaning to the lore and such but without it the lore is wasted. It has it's moments but you can feel it's unfinished, unpolished. The animation, the buy backs, parachuting down all looks like still in alpha testing. I dont find victory that much rewarding either. They should add a set of guns or skins only unlocked after a certain number of extracts in HZ only. I can't help but compare it to DMZ and the latter is so much more rich and detailed. I got bored of DMZ though cause its 90 % bots and extracting is quite easy. You just run around doing useless missions. Im a all out war type of guy! Wasted potential...again. Dice should try to improve it one last time before the end of the cycle.
