One thing to consider: the cavalry guy is high up on his horse. In order to hit an enemy, he needs to point it downwards, which will take a lot off of the horizontal distance, which is what Kmancometh measured.

Main difference between them is spread and recoil, spread basically controls the consistency of those OHKs and recoil how fast you can reset and guarantee a consistent OHK after a shot.

195m is the max distance the Howitzer shell can travel shooting on flat terrain, pointing the gun up to the max and kill a player. Obviously being on higher ground, or angling the tank on a hill, you can shoot further.

If you played before, knowing the maps on guns gives you a head start. For PC, like any FPS, if you haven't played with M/K, it will take time, but I started with controller and switched to M/K soon after. I like sniping so having the ability to aim precisely made the game more fun to me. PC will be more competitive, so it will take time to get used to the rhythm.

The only thing that can kill you at a mile or more are the costal guns on Empire's Edge. But they shoot well beyond the map's boundary so I can't measure it.
