It's just insane that it's almost May of 2022 and we've yet to see any sort of content drops, any sort of large patches that fix some of these core issues with the game, literally ANYTHING meaningful except......VoIP, something people barely used to begin with, and with a somehow worse scoreboard than any past BF game. I feel the itch to play this game every now and again and I just can't justify the time and storage space required to boot this game up, just to play about 3 matches with the same guns, the same specialists, on the same maps, and with the same problems. It's just insane, all of it.

I also think everything is too fast& twitchy in 2042. When you play the portal factions you can really see a difference. I remember bf4 being faster too but 2042 is basically call of duty fast.

It may just be me, but playing this game on console has been rough. I usually adjust my aim settings very specifically in every battlefield title but no matter what I do aiming feels horrible in 2042. Meanwhile I watch PC players Rambo around the lobbies left clicking on mfs in an instant.

No, but the extreme criticism it has received is mostly just the community parroting one another. It isn’t the bf we were expecting based off the trailer but it honestly is a good bf experience. However, after trying for a little under an hours, I have found ONE player who quit immediately after killing him. Even the server browser in Portal lists 3 servers with 4 players in total. I am so confused as to how JackFrags manages to get into servers with players... EDIT: enabled crossplay and now I have wayyy more servers.

Honestly if they scrapped the main game with the maps and specialists, and just kept portal as the main mode with the classes and soldiers looking like actual soldiers and just kept adding new remastered maps and weapons, vehicles etc. I’d actually play it again in a heartbeat.
