I played two games and stopped because 40 fps on lowest settings with massive stutter and drops sucks! Jumped on BF4 instead and have my settings locked at 240 fps and only get dips to 180 ish

Dynamic Resolution gave me a huge fps boost without looking bad. It feels so smooth now (3440x1440 Resolution r9 3900x 2080ti 100 fps on Medium/ high settings,some ultra)

have to say helicopter physics, loadout and feel are horrible, everything feels like a mobile game. Thinking about cancelling my preorder.

scout miniguns do no damage and have latency for some reason, pods are horribly weak. atk heli pods are literally slower than the heli itself making it impossible to hit moving targets, didnt see any tv or tow missile. whole game UI feels like a mobile game, helis have no weight making it too easy and unenjoyable to drive.

I canceled mine, will wait to see how it is a few months after release. Feels more like a cod game to me, lost a lot of cool movements from bf5 like the crouch running etc. And the guns have no weight, specialist are crap with no factions. No ammo anywhere, no heals, and just overall not an enjoyable experience. Just doesn't feel like a bf game

From what I've found out, Nvidia Reflex only reduces latency in GPU bound situations. If you are playing at low settings, its not likely you are GPU bound.

I really struggle to make the game run at 60fps. Back in the days, battlefield 4 was running in 720x1080 at more than 300fps. To compare with bf 2042 (in its current beta state), I'm barely able to run at 40~60 fps in the lowest resolution possible (1024x768 I guess) and the lowest graphic settings. It's such a demanding game in terms of performance... I wish I could play it as much as I played bf4

Anyone else miss when the settings were so much simpler? Like it feels like I need to take a class just on game settings these days. Just make the damn controls and settings the most efficient off the start so that I don't have to waste so much time in the settings

These type of settings come with little descriptions. And you can just chose "Low" "Medium" or "High" and just play the game.

Mesh quality should be ultra. It makes enemies pop out more. Mesh makes the character models higher quality

my biggest concern about the game beyond bugs and optimisation that wiill be adressed before of after launch is the uniforms of the specialists : i wish for example that us troops were wearing camel uniforms and russia green ones because i am wasting way too much ammo on friendlies. furthermore, ammo is even more precious and rare when you realize no one is carrying an ammo bag and you cant tell who actually is since most of the players would rather have a health kit or a rocket launcher instead wich is undedrstandable given they are given the choice. i know dice wont back off this specialist system, and that's a shame because it's only for micro transactions, but they have to find a way, either by balancing specialists or by more rewarding xp, to incite more teamplay. this also apply to the medics (falke) : no one is reviving because the revive animation takes so god damn long and gets you kiilled almost everytime. ervery deaths is definitive in the huge majority of cases, and beyond the gunplay and the movement mecanics, not being revived or resupplied actually felt like cod because you are not feeling part of a team anymore. anyway, i hope they can manage to get this fixed.

Shouldn't be a hard game to run. Bfv runs at a solid 60 fps on old gen. I'll be pissed if 2042 doesn't run well we all know how good the frostbite engine is.

I love the UI buuut as a pilot I beg dice to work out the lag in the air. And for the love of God please help the jets with bombs or something because as is they are useless unless you zoom in, hover, then zoom out whilst killing on the way. If you guys worried about not being able to run it, optimization is ass rn, when you go from ultra to low, its looks exactly the same just some shadows. Once optimization works, low will look like low and youll have great fps

Perfect BF.. BF3 + Hardline weapon mechanics and balance, BFBC2 destruction and maps for rush and cq, BF3 maps for decent Conquest balance. BFV movements prone, couch, jump etc... Vehicle mechanics from BF3 (skill gap) and nothing from BF4 because its crap and a broken BF3
