Watching the anims in slow mo grants a higher level of respect for the amount of effort DICE put into authenticity. Not only with the guns and their reloads, but the lighting engine. During multiple reloads I was pleasantly distracted by the sun reflecting on the weapon parts or the player's gloves, and even with it glinting into the camera off the watch face.

It's actually very realistic. The SPAS-12 has a "recycling" mechanism where when one shell is fired and ejected, the shotgun magnetizes back the spent shell into the chamber to be reused for the next firing. You fill up the SPAS-12 with lead pellets before a firefight, and the SPAS-12 will automatically fill and crimp all the shells for you. Very helpful on the battlefield.

Great animations. The reload animations and weapon designs are among the most realistic of all shooters. A lot of them are similar but that's because a lot of the weapons are simply based on the same design with the same operations, although I do think that they could have been more unique. And the LMG reloads are NOT glitched. He is shooting straight up in the air, which is a view that DICE simply did not consider since there's really no reason to do it.

M26 MASS has a minor bug when shooting and pull back the shutter to load the next cartridge the magazine looks to dissapear and then reapear right back. Then the M320 again apears to have a small detail passed anoticed that after it fires the grenade when it takes out the casing the round seems intact and not just the empty shell of it. Same for SMAW as the rocket case is intact on the reload process. Anyway bravo for the video and great taste on music!

He's hitting the bolt catch. The catch leaves the chamber open when the last round is fired so when the next magazine is loaded into the weapon you just push that button and the bolt slams forward, loading another round into the chamber. Most people say the best way to do this is by just pushing the button with your thumb because you can easily miss it at times when slapping it like that.

Just if you didn't know why they do that, it's because of a bolt release on the side of the gun, slightly above the magazine, which they sometimes "smack" in order to chamber a new round :)

The M27 IAR is a Squad Assault Weapon and replaces the M249 SAW in the USMC. It has an heavier Barrel then the M16s, so that you can fire longer without overheating an with more accruacy. In the USMC it is used with standard GI-Mags wich can hold only 30 rounds. So it can hold other magazins with more capacity, but in the as I imagened they only use 30rd magazins.
