When I initially found out, from my little brother who bought BF4 after I started playing BF2 again, that battlepacks were a thing I got kinda pissed because I thought it was forced microtransactions. It is microtransactions, but there's literally no reason at all to buy the battlepacks cause you get them super fast for just playing. It's even a little bit rewarding opening the occational battlepack and getting some new dank items.

Bf2 is the OG but unfortunately it didn’t age well. Starting with bf3 Dice added a ton of subtle immersive tools to give the guns/bullets some weight.

TFVGaming I Rohan Trehan now, BF has literally somehow managed to downgrade as a franchise, but i feel the BC3 underneath surface though based off of a lot of the subtle evidence we’ve kept gaining since bf4 and some of the devs behaviors about it

@@jakobicobb3447 Nah bf4 is pretty small nowadays, it's like 2000 players in peak times of the day, mostly it's around 1300 or so. Heck i join a server and can remember like 15 people from past games just because the player base is so small. Here in Europe there are always 5-7 servers with 60/64 players but honestly you can feel the game is dying, only game modes left are conquest large, rush if you are hella lucky and TDM on lockers 24/7. Plus a bunch of servers enforce some anti-explosive rules, like no mortar/xm airburst/grenade launcher/c4 etc and also sometimes even ban vehicles so it really kills the game in my opinion.

I think it’s because the sandbox in BF3 and 4, all the vehicles, helicopters, explosives, and weapons made it so you could play 20 rounds on the same map and each one still felt unique, whereas in BF1 and BFV, most rounds even on different maps feel the same

This is why I love BF4. It has a lot of interesting maps and ways to get around them, the whole customization of your kit is perfect, and the pickup weapons can make a a lot of BF moments, like an assault picking up the explosive weapon to use on vehicles or support becoming the saving angel of grace with a pick up sniper rifle and unpin a squad from a distance.

A lot of people don't play vehicles, yet vehicles are the main reason why BF4 is my favorite in the series. Edit: the ticket breed system that they introduced in BFV which favors the losing team completely removed the satisfaction from comebacks like this. You feel like you cheated to win or you got helped by the system out of pity.

Basically, the losing team caps flags significantly faster, this might sound like a small thing but it has a huge impact on the entire ticket bleed system. Also, unlike BF4 where your team loses a ticket when you respawn, in BFV you lose a ticket when you die. so, there are no ''don't spawn, don't spawn'' battlefield moments near the end of the round.

There's nothing more satisfying than to be losing with 200-300 tickets, just to get a commander assigned to your team who turns the whole match upside down. When you unlock the m4 or m16a4 you’re gonna need to change the way you play from offensive run and gun MLG stuff to a defensive calmer style but you’ll still rack up the kills, once with the m16a4 I got 47-3 and I’m not even awesome at the game. Personally I love the m16/m4 style plus when paired with the desert eagle it’s a beast of a class, however if you are newer at the game then the 1911 is a close second to the desert eagle in my opinion

Firestorm is actually quite good fun, it managed to bring the squad and I together back into BFV to play it -- truly a nice bit of fresh air in a game that has had a rocky launch so far. It turned out to be (despite the current flawed looting system) way more polished and entertaining than I imagined it to be. One of the key things being it allows for those fun 'Battlefield moments' as you put it from the older games which has been lacking in V so far. Interested to see what the future holds for BFV, we'll see if Dice will handle it well or not. Anyhow, cool video from these older games as usual Jackfrags, but maybe some specks of BF1 content again could be good? Or maybe, just to be a bit crazy, even BF2, Vietnam or 1942 for those comfy Saturday game sessions?

Have tried out Firestorm on XB1 a few times, but without a set squad to play with I've been a bit disappointed. Maybe it's just console but they amount of random lag/skipping that happens is obnoxious, looting and inventory is even more annoying than on PC, and while the map is big and pretty, I find it's mainly just copy and pasted buildings everywhere without many interesting areas. Personally I've only found it fun when the people I'm playing with are fun, but that's just like my opinion man.

I used to love playing on infantry only maps! Rolling around on Rhib boats and Jeep's was fun or on a bike \atv with an lmg. It was a thrill cause we roll through one area and it's just infantry bearing down on you with fire. Never had anything like that in other games. it's been awhile now. Aws, Ballistic shield, smoke grenades, mp-aps or Xm-25. Was always fun playing with the squad, whether it was messing around or playing serious.

You reviving that dude and then, him INSTANTLY running into a claymore has to be the most battlefield thing ever. Oh BF4 what a rocky start you had but we all never appreciated you enough for what you were in the end, an actual good game. Bf3&4 still the best iterations of the franchise imo.
