I think part of it is the sheer number of things that are fun, even if they are janky. You can blow people up with their own c4 using the flying thing, use the support portable trophy system to become an invulnerable tank sniper, suicide bomb with a buggy, team up with a scout as an engineer and a javelin to obliterate tanks from across the map, play on a hardcore custom server, shout a Russians, or actually ptfo. The fun is endless.

My favorite BF. Honestly the only thing missing from this game being perfect is a left/right lean. I hate that FPS games on PC stopped doing this to accommodate console controls.
