Reality is the game devs did a horrible job designing the planes. I mean 4,5,6 direct AA hits to a fighter won’t kill it, thats just laughable. Zekes, corsairs, and mustangs did not have cannons. A zeke could not out perform or climb a corsair. The zeros were poorly manufactured with little armor and were known to break apart in a few short bursts, not hundreds of rounds. Stalling at any altitude to win a dogfight would be suicide. Speed is king in dogfights. There are more details I could go into as a military historian and one that primarily focuses on WW2. Was just really just disappointed with the one size fits all planes approach in this game.

Short for them because my squad would run the objectives and cap them while 3 of them flew. It has happened before. I have faced a squad of top 20 pilots in the game and we steamrolled them in about 15 minutes.

Last night we had a match similar to this. The attacking team couldn’t get a solid foothold and spent the better part of the match just trying to take the 1st sector. I was on the ground, not a pilot(I can’t fly at all). After 30 minutes our team started having some fun. It felt like 15 guys committed to using the Lunge Mine as their primary. 😂

The beauty of this is that good players like you teaming up with another good player does help magnify the issue that BFV has with team balancing, specifically the lack of it. But that's just me.

Game needs active auto balancing. and if a squad holds a high % of the of the total score, the squad gets split. many people will rage, but the many more that suffer will be happier. Unless the many more get their opinions of the game from twitch or YT, then every one will be unhappy.

I'm talking about when all the talent on a server join's a single squad and is unopposed over multiple games. I'm talking about when their is no more reason to continue playing because their is no hope in hell of achieving anything other than feeding already fat players. I'm talking about moving players from 1 team to the other if the other is short of players. I'm talking about giving you (the majority) more chance of earning a V1. Instead of giving all the V1's to 1 squad. I don't believe in skill based match making, but I do believe in filling 1 team with an equal amount of skill as the other. I started on bad comosny coming from cod and tried to keep my playstyle and got eaten alive and spit out. I had to adapt to people who are already good and had no issue with it. Slowly but surely I started dying less and less and ot was a slow process wich took months but I grinded and grinded and got better until now in battlefield v I'm doing g perfectly fine. To truly appreciate the game you have to go through the trial and error of becoming decent at it. Just my opinion

Pilots receive the hate because there is currently no effective counter to them. With Fligers nerfed and AA practically useless a good pilot can turn the battle for the team. They can dominate the sky, infinite spot over capture points with the stratosphere deployed flares, etc...need I go on?? Thanks are nothing and it's nothing to see someone go 80 or better kills with very few deaths. If they balanced the methods to combat the planes then there would be no issue but as it is the planes of the Pasific maps are way over powered. It litterally makes playing infantry pointless as there isn't anything you can do.

Joseph Stalin he has 15 days played and is top 0.6% at flying with 2,000,000 score in a plane. I have 6 days playing, 735,000 score and am top 1 percent at flying. I also score higher per min than he does at 443 and he 440. Just because he has a channel and select cuts videos of him doing well doesn’t mean he is the greatest. I mean props to him for getting people to think that but still.

Not surprised the entire server left, you have three people who are definitely not getting out of the air and got you in total air dominance, your team can't even take a single objective, your landing crafts are constantly getting randomly destroyed by the zeroes, and since you're stuck like midway between objectives you're constantly getting hit by cannons and bombs. Not saying it's your fault, it's just battlefield not having auto balancing that messes everything up. On the bright side, it's fun seeing how all their Corsairs change from blue to white when you start killing them. 7:36 *ding dong the wicked bitch is dead*

...dude tanks really aren't. Hit them where they are weak and with other anti tank guys. Especially from behind a heavy tank can't survive that. A light tank can bust up a super tank from behind even. The tank combat is the most balanced thing from that standpoint.

I even reset the specs to make it harder on myself, and TRY to make myself an easy target for the enemy team. They just suck. I quit BFV until the pussies trade those in for dicks. Colton Brown technically it is all wrong. As a military historian that primarily focuses on WWII, there are a lot of issues with the flight characteristics and the sustainability of the planes themselves. For instance, the only thing the zero was better at than the corsair was its turn radius. In any other category, it lost. It also had little armor and was known to break apart after a few short bursts, not take hundreds of rounds to down. Really disappointed in how poorly developed the planes are in this game.

Hey Dave I just had a idea for a new settlement build, Saugus Iorn Works. You would have to find a mod to make the exterior and interior a settlement but that would be a great place to add a lore friendly factory to explain where all the metal sheets and other steel settlement items come from. Because I know you go out and find all this steel, but you can magically make it form things like sheets for walls and defenses and all these new buildings across the commonwealth? It doesn’t make sense so that’s why i think it could be an awesome settlement build. Btw I have watched all your settlement builds and tour’s and I wish you made more videos about fallout again because you are an amazing creator.

It’s pretty simple for pilots to be good in this game if you have a knack for flying in video games. AA guns suck and if you don’t have a decent pilot on your own team they will run rampant on the server. Dice still hasn’t found the sweet spot for AA guns.

Whofler Dude it is pretty easy. You have two maybe three options. If you have someone on you six you stall while spinning and pulling up right. Wing dip (this is absurd that its allowed), or pull up and Spin out (what I would call a vertical split s) and continue until you are on their six or they bail. Really easy to fly in this game since all the planes are equal in everything.

Daniel sounds like you haven’t flown in quite a while because it’s a little more complex than that now. Only noobs fall for the stall trick, and AA guns cover a good 2/3s of the map.

Is there a mechanic in BF5 that makes it not worth doing vertical maneuvers? So many times I see Dave braking while in say War Thunder you can retain your energy/speed by just going into the vertical and then zooming back down on your enemy while still staying on their six.

1942 is my favourite BF game. And the new WWII game couldn't have got it more wrong. Did it update the graphics? sure. But The scale and ability you had in BF1942... I mean my god... I would spend ages as a Kid, just controlling an aircraft carrier. I loved landing the aircraft and having to utilise my team mates in the bombers. YOU HAD TO LAND. Meaning there wasn't quick turn over. Could control, ships... subs... I went on a MP modded server and was able to helm a Yamato ffs. Was BF1942 buggy because of the engine? sure. but the scope of the game went far beyond this new one. They have attempted to snap up COD people with quick action rather than quality game play. Like, how many I can get in a kill streak. I liked BF for the strategy and team work...
