While BF1 is my personal favorite, BFV did have the best movement. The stealth was better too because of the spotting being different, no pings from firing an unsuppressed weapon, laying in rubble made you invisible to the untrained eye. It was awesome in those aspects. If I could choose how spotting works in future BF games, it would be that only snipers can spot players like in other BF games, or uavs and other tools. It makes them better and more useful at supporting teammates.

Battlefield 1 is still perfect. It's setting, it's atmosphere, its unit design, map design. All beautiful. I still play it regularly. I would pay a lot of money for a definitive edition or even more for a colonial DLC! This is such a good game! I just hope we'll slightly ever touch its level. ❤ Even Hardline is underrated!!

It’s so overrated. Other than it’s incredible graphics, and the greatest multiplayer ragdoll animations are I’ve ever seen, BF1 is abysmal to play. The guns feel horrible and the way the conquest system and behemoths work are a nightmare. BFV with the BF 1944 mod installed triumphs over BF1 in every department.

I would LOVE more content for BFV. I was one of the ones who was disappointed with the lack of content but loved the gameplay. The construction mechanic was an actually halfway decent addition, carrying first aid for yourself was so nice and being low on supplies just meant you should push for an objective because you could resupply there. Not to mention, it actually felt gritty at times, and that’s what brings me back to games tbh.

I literally say this all the time. Never in my life have I been more sure of such an easy buck to be made as this. The big gap right now is modern combat in the BF series. 2042 sucked at launch and even now a lot of people don’t like + it’s somewhat futuristic. The main two good bf games right now are both world war games. Bf4 is your only option for modern combat and let’s be honest, that game just doesn’t compare to bf3 and is played out. They literally just remaster bf3 with updated graphics, and without doing basically any work, they profit.

Yeah no. BF1 is peak battlefield. Bf5 is a game that took two years to even become playable, and that guys like jackfrags hated on at launch. Just because 2042 also launched bad doesn’t mean we now need to go back and say “well ackshually this other game isn’t as bad as we thought”. Bf5 at launch WAS terrible - it’s only playable now due to YEARS of fixes. This seems to be a trend in the casual FPS community as a whole. I now see people “well ackshually”’ing objectively terrible games like cod advanced warfare. You know, the game that started a jetpack trend no one asked for? The game that started the pay to win blueprints trend no one asked for? Yeah, that game. Some psychologist should do a study on how people convince themselves that things they hated 8 years ago “actually are good now”. It’s like the modern games are so bad that they’re searching for anything, even a game that was universally hated, for some semblance of hope.

@@cococock2418 Yeah the game was awful at launch just like The witcher 3 or Cyberpunk yet these games are insanely good in their own field as of right now. BF1 was just a pre alpha for BFV. From the gunplay to the movements everything is better in BFV. I can't speak for the campaign since I didnt do any of them but MP was and still is definitely better in V. I mean there might be a reason why V had x4 times the amount of players over the last 24 hours on steam and twice the amount when it comes to all time peak compared to 1. More than that V had more players than 2042 in the last 24 hours and a higher all time peak again compared to this one as well. You got it right from these numbers, V is the most popular of the last 8 years and it aint going anywhere, can't say the same for the others I just mentioned. Having a better atmosphere didnt save BF1 and that's why a better gameplay and better maps are vital to keep the playerbase alive. So yeah V is leagues ahead it's not even close

I remember when Marita first launched, it only took 1 or 2 times playing it on Breakthrough before I realized it was one of my most favorite maps in any battlefield game I have ever played! I remember playing Provence a few times when it was only a smaller game mode map and its sad they didn't keep that variant of the map in the game when they redid the map, both versions were fantastic!

Jack, I recently started playing 2042 for the first time, and I think my expectations were so low that I actually don't hate it! In fact, I'm having some fun with it! I love that you can play with bots, just like the old days of BF2 and 2142. And having to do challenges to unlock weapons and attachments reminds me of BF4. The live attachment feature is really huge as well. I really don't like the lack of music, the removal of leaning, some weird movement things, and the TTK though 😅 Amongst some other things too of course hehe

Yes, in Dice fashion it had a horrible start, but man compared to 2042 it's glorious! Playing 2042 has really made me miss BF5 for SO many different reasons. Totally underrated in my opinion. Getting in bombers with your buddies gunning down planes coming for you, so freaking good. Or you going one on one with a stationary anti air gun.. I really wish EA and Dice would just remaster the bad company series, bf3 and bf4. then they could put the majority of their resources to making a third bad company or making a completely different battlefield. Maybe a battlefield game that's set during the cold war could be cool. (Not that any real conflicts went on during that war between US and RU; hence the name cold war). I'm just saying that they have some really good titles that they could update and re-release for a reduced priced. I know we have portal and that's cool and all, but I would love to be able to play the old campaigns with updated graphics, and relive my childhood with these games.

If BF5 didn't have an abysmal launch, if the robo lady with a cricket bat wasn't the first thing people saw when watching the trailers, and if they added the Eastern front, this could have easily been the best WW2 game ever. Focusing on "inclusivity" and lesser known battles of WW2 hurt this game. The Pacific content should have been in at launch, and Eastern Front DLC should have come out when the Pacific DLC did. The fact you got the Russians in BF1 and not BF5 is crazy, especially considering the role they played in WW2 vs. WW1. I also love the fortification building that had so much potential in a game like battlefield. To scrap, it seems like a huge wasted opportunity. Best of all was destruction, BF5 had actual destruction. I always loved BF1 and BF5 seeing the clean pretty landscape, and then the overhead at the end of the match showing the devastation both teams caused to the landscape made it feel like an ACTUAL Battlefield.

Hey Jack I love any video you make. I've got a question. Do u ever think you would make a video playing with matmio and Tom and all again like in bf4 I can remember watching you and mat back then destroying whole lobbies and just having fun. Just been cool to see the old crew back even if it's not on bf4 or 3 any of them would cool to see u guys play again. Thanks keep up the vids always quality
