Bert give it another try. I hated it at first too. Left it then came back… you can’t play it like older battlefield but its still battlefield. And NEVER PLAY without your friends if you want to not get shot in your back. 2042 has the most diverse maps imaginable. I still use bf4 weapons on 2042. It grew on me so much i cant stop playing. Its not bf5… but it is still awesome. Please give it another try bro

4:48 bro was carrying that table Just having good responsive movement and working mouse input makes BFV feel so much more 'connected' as a game. 2042 often feels like you're playing with your left hand and 100ms ping, something is just off about the whole experience. And even though BFV maps were a big downgrade over BF1, they're still 10 times better than 2042 which goes to show just how godawful 2042 maps are. It is shocking that they managed to release a game that is so horrible in every aspect.

I hated the MMGs and AT Rifle that gave more firepower to campers, I hated the aestethic of the game (and I hated even more the fact that they realased realistic skins when the game was dead), I hated the visual recoil of the guns and the gunplay was confusing as fuck because a rifle was good one day and the next day was unplayable (even if it had the same attachement and perks). I hated the unnecessary TTK change (I still remember the FG42 that needed 13/20 shots to kill a guy lol) that fucked up the game even more than it was. I hated how DICE/EA mistreated the community regarding the, supposed, historical accuracy of the game. For me it was a rollercoaster of broken promises and arrogance all along

Never played BFV before, it was one of the games I skipped when it came out, but it's on game pass so I actually gave it a try last week and I was actually blown away by how good the game felt. I usually go back and play older BF games from time to time but I never go back to 2042 after playing them, if anything playing 2042 makes me crave to play BF4 instead.

Personally, for me, Battlefield 5 features the most complex and rewarding mechanics for tanks in the franchise: (Ricochet system, angling, ammunition types, tank categories, specializations, responsiveness, firepower, camouflage, projectile speed, UI, and the absence of four slots for a random gang to enter and shoot aimlessly). Furthermore, it's all predictable, meaning the more you play, the better you become, without any RNG mechanics.

Before I got 2042 I was still playing battlefield 1. Still an amazing game. The most jarring part to me was how random the matches in 2042 feel. I can't get six to ten kills and know that I cleared the area out because someone is constantly dropping on my head. That and being out sniped by an assault class sends me into a fit some times.

The admins that ban people for a higher skill level should actually be banned from the game. I’ve been banned on Xbox server just for shooting the admins little bird down and ruining his little kill streak. The game needs rental servers and server browser but if an admin abuses power and just bans people for no reason they need to go.

You're giving me 2019/2020 nostalgia. Played so much of this game. Bungled launch PR, but overall underrated game IMHO. After your vid came out exposing the recoil just being a shot-for-shot substitute for normal shot bloom, my rose-tinted glasses lessened a bit, but at the time, I LOVED the gunplay coming out of BF1. I hated the visual recoil debacle of early BF4. I really wish DICE would couple the "Tactical Conquest" and "Strategic Conquest" servers again though. Maybe it made sense at the time to have a split playerbase on conquest maps, but as of now, I tire easily of having fewer maps in the rotation. Loading up Operation Underground seemingly every other match has significantly subdued my enthusiasm for the experience as of now. EDIT: Also, BFV doing away with 3D spotting was an overall improvement to the gameplay over other titles IMO, and it effectively made the Recon class have a real team-based function. And this is coming from a guy who originally LOVED the 3D spotting from Bad Company 2. 2042 reimplementing 3D spotting felt lazy and disappointing. How things change.

Oceania servers are plenty full vpn yaself over Enders we welcome you with open arms. You are correct 100% about it being a guessing game with the bullets needed to kill. You shoot and switch targets because u know that out of a 41mag it’ll take maybe 15 of that mag to kill but no the game stitches you up, you switch targets and the guy u stopped aiming at ends up killing you while ur in a gun fight with the other person you switched to. U don’t get that on bfv bf1 or 3 or 4 you just know mathematically when to switch targets because it works

I play BF1-5 and 2042 quite regularly. Many things bug me in bfv. Its more “Realistic “ in the sense that movement is good and smooth but it often plays slower . The visibility is awful ( like in real war) so many campers lying down in bushes ( like in real war) . The ping system is again more realistic but i don’t like it. I love 2042 despite its flaws. It feels good to me. The better game is BF1. A masterpiece. But i miss features like looking around you when your down. Or reviving a teamate if your not a medic. I like them all… that’s my problem. Ill take the worst BF over many others fps games any day

There is no character to guns in 2042, all feel the same. Mouse input is shit in 2042. Maps too big. Sniping is too easy. Class system has no character and identity. Setting of the game is just very hollow. BFV and BF1 had a lot of character. That's why even with horrendous health gen system and bloom BFV still worked.

During peak hours theres minimum 6 servers of just strat conquest, weekends theres usually more than a dozen. It's ridiculous you got banned before spawning, maybe the robot auto detected your top 1% stats and thought its sus. Las time I played BFV, it was plagued by cheaters. They would just kill off everyone in the server with the click of a button. Spawn in a Stuka while playing as the Brits. Speed hacks. You name it. There was a clan of these cheaters. Not sure if they’re still at it. Oh, and I’m one of those guys going 50-0 at Fjell while flying a Mosquito or BF109G.

Half of my clan already banned from BoB servers but nobody is hacking. They always come up with fishy reasons, either it’s „unbalancing“ the server or they just say you hack without any proof. The last game I played before 2042 was BF4, so I missed BF 1 (other than a free 10-hour trial) and BFV completely. That said, it is insane how much better BFV looks from a graphical standpoint compared to 2042. 2042's graphics looks like a cheap Chinese mobile game compared to older BF games.

As someone who has never played the Battlefield series apart from the Battlefiled 5 beta weekend, I decided to buy 2042 on the advice of a friend. I bought it and I remember when I started playing it, season 3 had just come out and the game wasn't as bad as it could have been, but having played it for almost 800 hours in 1.5 years now, I realize that 2042 dead. There is no content, the maps are repeated every time, a huge number of bots due to low online, it is very sad. Dice needs to do something with 2042 or at least not screw up the next part.

@Enders I'm curious to know if you experience this as a PC player, as a ps5 player we have the OP (laughable) Aim assist but I find for some reason when I'm in games (I have cross play off as so many pc cheaters haha). That when I aim I feel something isn't right, nor feels right. What I mean by this is I dunno if its the aim assist or not but whenever I aim at a moving target it always feels like my aim snaps off the target just enough that every bullet misses or I'm shooting a target and it feels like my aim sorter is over compensated by something that sometimes I shoot the outline of the person and when I manual compensate this, it does the same the opposite side, like in some games its feels horrible like the game is purposely forcing my aim off target for some reason. This hapoens randomly, some games it feels like I'm 110% dialed in and I'm aiming where I'm actually aiming and feels like if I miss its because I actually missed. But I'd say 60-70% of my games its the crappy weird aim feeling that I know I'm not a bad aim so I could accept I'm not going to hit targets 1000% of the time but I feel I'm cheated out of kills due to this weird aim thing that feels like its not actually anything I'm doing, moreso a gamebug that's forcing my reticle slightly off centre to correct my aim but in turn making it off target. Anyone else get this issue?

Only problem with BF 5 - is the amount of cheaters. Play a round of underground 64 players - 10 out of 10 games you have cheaters on one side or both ! Xbox and Playstation excluded but pc is doomed.

Battlefield V is one of the go to shooters along with siege and Rogue Company, really fun, especially when you abuse the M30 drilling with rifle round upgrade, only things I hate about BFV is the cheating issue of just forcing people to redeploy and rockets on airplanes that can snipe AA out of their range

I watched almost every BFV vid u made and enjoyed it million times over bf2042, and i still watch BFV clips up until now. Hope u find more playable servers.

Well, you summarise it really good. Thats why I still play BF5. Luckyly the PSN EU servers are crowded and you can play the game at any normal time in any bigger mode on basically any map. And even though the game feels really dry, I still have fun with it. In this game you can actually push and jump into gunfights. You can outplay people if you know the player rotations. In 2042 I feel I got the most success, preaiming every spot with a LMG and not taking any risc.

Everyone has their cup of tea. All battlefield games are awesome in my opinion. Kind of a futuristic world of war in 2042 while earlier classic battlefield games kept the modern and historical war settings alive which is awesome too. Battlefield really focused on all areas of war. From foot soldiers and weapons, to vehicles and air defenses and did the mechanics for controlling them very well, call of duty doesn’t offer that and never did. It focused on the immersion and storyline first person perspective of war and action. Battlefield is just a battlefield. So being in the future 2042 probably just needs a few tweaks and additions to it but everyone’s up in arms and impatient haha. No shade. I am too. I wish a lot of things were different or were put more time into perfecting but it’s still a great game. The end.

Due to the missing of real good alternatives we're still playing bf5 regularly on playstation and having fun with it + ps-servers are still healthy and not overrun by cheaters.

the only big flaws of bfV were the slow release of new content and some basic functionalities missing (like team balance, assignments system, tanks being op) i think its one of the most immersive bf titles besides bf 1. the movement is fantastic, crouch sprinting, manual leaning, gunplay is amazing, destruction physics i never understood the hate towards this game. if they didn't forced the ttk 5.2 changes on the community at the point of bfv's greatest momentum (which they fortunately almost entirely reverted) and didn't drop support for the game early, i think BFV could have turned into one of the best bf titles of all times.

Ive just finished one match on bf4 and the thing i notice staight away was the mouse imput. HOW TF have they not fixed it yet (on bf242), also i feel like on 0% coeffcient you can fee the mouse lag more, anyone else notice that. Any new on streaming on YT.

Despite it's flaws and problems, I think BFV is a fun game. Dice abandoned the game when it was finally getting good. There aren't a ton of servers on console, but it is still playable (unlike PC). Playing it makes me remember that Battlefield used to be fun

"Bf5 is massively better than 2042 and that's despite the fact bf5 is objectively a shity game" Thank you ender,thank you for making me feel like I am not alone here :D Some of my friends think I am just a hater when I say that bf5 sucks balls and it's still probably the least broken battlefield since bf3. It's funny to me thinking back,how disapointed I was when bf3 released in 2011,how disapointed I was by the low TTK,slow movement and the overall CODification of the battlefield franchise and making the game more casual and lowering the skill cap/need for aiming. And yet...if I go back to bf3 today and compare that to modern battlefield games,bf3 feels like playing quake 3,bf3 is just soo much faster,smoother,more skill based and aim heavy than bf5....and bf5 is so much more skill based and aim heavy than 2042...cant wait for further evolution of gaming...

I mean BFV sure has the best gunplay in the series but is definitely unplayable due to cheaters on the PC version and that's not just the NA servers. Chinese cheaters are on EU servers too.

From my personal experience apex legends and bf2042 have the worst mouse inputs in games i've played. If there was a fix for bfv bad visibility the game would be substantialy better imo.

Nice timing. I uninstalled 2042 last week and reinstalled BF5. Only 2042 could make me feel this satisfied playing BF5. Im actually enjoying the hell out of it and I dont think I will ever go back to 2042 again. Im in Europe and on PS and there are thankfully a lot active servers with full teams so no issue finding action 😁

Think I might try it. I've bought BF5 on sale and play so little compared to other BF's. 2042 is currently VHX sweatfest so trying a new(old) experience wouldn't be that bad.
